77/1 Merseyside Derby Bet Builder & 60/1 cards treble

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
Our Liverpool vs Everton predictions point to a low-scoring affair, but the Merseyside Derby tends to be a good place to go looking for cards and fouls.
My 77/1 Ultimate Bet Builder for Saturday’s early kick-off is comprised of card and foul bets, while I’ve also put together a 60/1 treble covering Saturday’s three live Premier League games.
Both tips have been priced up with Paddy Power, who are offering two great new customer offers ahead of this weekend’s action.
Liverpool vs Everton Ultimate Bet Builder
Ryan Gravenberch to be carded
Gravenberch has been moulded into Liverpool’s anchorman, which is an especially crucial role given how top-heavy Arne Slot’s squad has become this summer.
The Dutchman was a key absentee in the league opener against Bournemouth, as he served a suspension from the end of last term. However, he’s been booked twice in the three games he has featured in. Given how David Moyes’ has set this Everton side up to counter, Gravenberch should end up isolated against the likes of Dewsbury-Hall or Iliman Ndiaye.
The midfielder is on course to clear last season’s tally of six yellows and a red, so back him for a card on Saturday.
Gravenberch also features in our 60/1 Saturday tip covering the three live Premier League matches. You can read more about that over on our Bet Builder tips page.
James Tarkowski to be carded
Tarkowski has captained Everton on four occasions against Liverpool. He scored that memorable equaliser last term, while he led them to a 2-0 victory at Goodison in the 2023/24 campaign. However, he’s been booked in both visits to Anfield as the Toffees’ skipper. He was cautioned within 11 minutes at Anfield when the pair met earlier this year.
Only two Everton players have made more fouls than the centre-half this term, while he picked up six bookings across the previous campaign.
James Garner to commit 2+ fouls
Garner has made three starts at left-back for Everton so far, as the club waits for Vitalii Mykolenko to return to fitness. Playing with Jack Grealish ahead of him doesn’t give the midfielder much support, while Grealish’s presence could see Slot swap Dominik Szoboszlai out for Conor Bradley or Jeremie Frimpong.
Those two, along with Mo Salah, should cause all kinds of problems for Garner. Back him to commit two or more fouls, with the Reds set to threaten down their right-hand side.
Virgil van Dijk to be fouled 1+ times
Both Merseyside derbies last season saw van Dijk draw at least one foul. His matchup with Beto, a player who is heavily odds-on for a foul in this clash, should see the Dutch defender get fouled again.
Beto has six fouls in three starts, while potential replacement Thierno Barry drew the referee’s ire pretty frequently at Villarreal last season.
With van Dijk getting fouled three times in his first four games this term, he’s a good price to draw a foul in an intense atmosphere against a physical forward.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to be fouled 2+ times
Dewsbury-Hall has been a great addition to the Everton midfield. He can drop deep and play in a midfield three if needed here, but the former Leicester man should lead the visitors’ counter attacks.
Dewsbury-Hall has made at least two fouls in his last three starts, so he’s more than just a technically gifted midfielder. He’s also drawing a lot of fouls in that number 10 role, being fouled at least twice in all but one of his first four games for Everton.
He was fouled twice while playing a slightly deeper role in the visit to Leeds. Back him to be fouled a couple of times at Anfield, especially as he looks to run at a midfield of Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister.
