The Africa Cup of Nations knockout rounds start on Saturday, with the tournament down to the final 16 teams. The next eight games look fairly evenly matched, with our outright tip Morocco the shortest-priced side to win in 90 minutes in this round at 4/7.

We’ve picked out a best bet from all eight last 16 clashes, which makes up our massive 443/1 accumulator for the next round of the tournament. This tip is priced up with bet365 and new customers can sign up and claim £30 in free bets through this link:

Africa Cup of Nations Mega Acca

Angola vs Namibia

Angola won their final two group games and they should be fancied to claim a spot in the quarter-finals when they meet Namibia. With victories over Maritania and Burkina Faso, Angola jumped to the top of their group and that’s landed them an encounter with a Namibia side who failed to score in their last two games, including a 4-0 loss to South Africa.

Tip: Angola to win

Nigeria vs Cameroon

Cameroon head into this clash having won only two of their last eight games and they are likely to struggle to keep this Nigeria side quiet. Despite heading into this off the back of two 1-0 wins, Nigeria have plenty of attacking strength and after conceding just once through the group stage, they can see off a Cameroon side who are without a clean sheet in their last five outings.

Tip: Nigeria to win

Equatorial Guinea vs Guinea

Equatorial Guinea progressed from the last round in style, first beating Guinea-Bissau 4-2 before a 4-0 victory against hosts Ivory Coast. They can build on that fine run with a last 16 win over Guinea this week, despite being seen as the underdogs in this encounter. Guinea were beaten 2-0 by Senegal in their final group game. If the Elephants perform as they did in their two resounding wins, it’s hard to see Guinea being a match for them.

Tip: Equatorial Guinea to win

Egypt vs DR Congo

Egypt progressed despite drawing all three group games 2-2, with Mohamed Salah a huge miss for them as the tournament goes on. Congo also drew all three games at the tournament and with just two goals conceded across their three matches they could pose a real problem to an Egypt side who are missing their star striker while struggling defensively.

Tip: DR Congo double chance

Cape Verde vs Mauritania

Cape Verde scored at least twice in every group game, picking up seven points as they topped Group B. That’s set them up against a Mauritania side who lost two of their three games at the last stage, only progressing thanks to a final day surprise win over an Algeria side who never got going. Cape Verde should continue their fine scoring run as they chase a quarter-final spot.

Tip: Over 1.5 Cape Verde goals

Senegal vs Ivory Coast

Senegal have won four straight names heading into this, having won each of their group games by two clear goals to make it into this round. The defending champions are in great shape, while hosts Ivory Coast are a mess. They lost 1-0 to Nigeria and 4-0 to Equatorial Guinea to slump to third, which cost their manager his job. That’s not ideal preparation for a last 16 clash, so back the defending champions to progress.

Tip: Senegal to win

Mali vs Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso were semi-finalists at the last edition of this tournament and they aren’t likely to go down without a fight in this last 16 clash. They meet a Mali side who drew their final two group games and they also exited at this stage in 2022, losing on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Back Burkina Faso to at least take this to extra time.

Tip: Burkina Faso double chance

Morocco vs South Africa

Morocco were our outright pick heading into the tournament and they certainly look like one of the strongest sides left standing after the group stage. The World Cup semi-finalists won their group and they should prove too strong for a South Africa side who have failed to score in four of their last five games.

Tip: Morocco to win
