Lamine Yamal to score or assist
Lamine Yamal rocketed himself into Ballon d’Or favouritism with another game-changing performance in the semi-final with the Barcelona prodigy scoring twice in their nine-goal thriller.
Yamal now has five goals and one assist in his last five games for club and country, taking his tally to 21 goals and 22 assists in all competitions this season.
He had a hand in Spain’s goals against Germany, France, and England in the latter stages of last summer’s European Championship, and he has shown he has the mettle to turn up in the big games.
Cristiano Ronaldo to score anytime
Another player with the big-game mentality, and one at the other end of the age spectrum to Yamal, is Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a record-extending 137th international goal against Germany on Wednesday.
The 40-year-old has scored 32 goals for club and country this season and heads to Munich having notched eight times in his last eight games. His last appearance against Spain saw him score a hat-trick in the 2018 World Cup, and he will be a threat again against a side that have conceded 11 goals in their last four games.
Nico Williams to score or assist
Nico Williams, along with Lamine Yamal, was one of the standout performers in Euro 2024 and the 22-year-old Athletic Bilbao winger also played a key role in Spain’s win over France on Thursday.
He scored and assisted in that 5-4 affair, leaving him with 13 goal contributions in his last 19 appearances for club and country, only 15 of which were starts.
Mikel Merino to commit 2+ fouls
Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino was in the thick of it in the semi-finals, committing three fouls and drawing five from France.
He has committed 17 fouls in his last seven starts for club and country, drawing the referee’s attention at least twice in all seven of those fixtures.
