England wrap up their World Cup qualifying campaign in Albania on Sunday. While the Three Lions have already secured their place at the tournament, this is still a vital opportunity for Thomas Tuchel to look at his squad before they head to the US in June.
Tuchel only has one more squad to name before he decides who will be heading to North America, so he should offer chances to some players to convince.
Albania have already wrapped up second place, but they’ll look to test themselves against elite opposition ahead of March’s playoffs.
Albania vs England Ultimate Bet Builder
Jude Bellingham to score anytime
Bellingham came off the bench against Serbia on Thursday, while the Real Madrid midfielder missed the previous two camps, allowing Morgan Rodgers to make a claim for a starting spot.
Sunday’s clash looks like a good opportunity for Bellingham to return to the side. He scored vital goals against Juventus and Barcelona last month for his club, along with netting in a win over Valencia at the beginning of November. Bellingham hasn’t scored for England since October last year, but he can make his mark under Tuchel as he bids to reclaim a starting role.
Rey Manaj 1+ shots on target
Manaj has seven shots on target for Albania in qualifying, more than any other player in the squad. He was unable to add to that despite having six shots against Andorra last time out. However, he has been a consistent threat for the hosts this year and he looks like Albania’s biggest weapon to trouble England.
Mario Mitaj to be carded
Mitaj is averaging over a foul per game in qualifying, while this clash with England is a big step up for the full-back. He has been booked on three occasions in the Saudi Pro League this term, while he picked up a yellow in a clash with Serbia last month.
Tuchel has plenty of attacking players who are pushing for game time, so whoever starts on the right should test Mitaj. Back him to pick up a second caution of the qualifying campaign, and a fifth overall for the season.
Kristjan Asllani to be fouled 2+ times
Asllani has been fouled 17 times across this qualifying campaign, the joint-most across the Albanian squad. While Juljan Shehu is heavily odds-on to be fouled twice after also drawing 17 fouls, Asllani is evens to hit the same mark.
The Torino midfielder has been fouled at least twice in six of his seven appearances in this group, while he drew 15 fouls across his six Nations League outings at the end of last year, being fouled twice in five of those.
Asllani will be key to how Albania look to go forward, so we’re backing him to draw at least two more fouls to complete this 68/1 fourfold.
