Domestic campaigns are entering their final throes right across the continent as Europe’s major leagues inch towards the climax of the 2020/21 season.

With the clock running down and the final shake-up fast approaching, it’s the perfect time to revisit the outright betting markets for La Liga, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A.

Remember- we’ll be covering all of the season’s remaining fixtures in detail on our match predictions page.

COMPLIANT - Lionel Messi Barcelona

La Liga outright odds

  • Barcelona – 1/2
  • Atletico Madrid – 9/4
  • Real Madrid – 8/1
  • Sevilla – 20/1

La Liga outright predictions

This season’s race for top spot in La Liga is shaping up to be the most captivating title tussle in recent memory. With a meagre four-point spread between current leaders Atletico Madrid in first, Real in second, Barcelona in third and Sevilla down in fourth, the potential for end of season drama is colossal.

Diego Simeone’s Atletico are targeting their first title since 2014, though their haul of just two wins from their last five league assignments hints that the pressure might be getting to the table toppers.

Real Madrid meanwhile, could take their eye off the ball with pressing Champions League semi-final distractions in their periphery, while Sevilla – who continue to punch above their weight – face a taxing run in which includes games against Athletic Club, Real Madrid, Valencia and Villarreal.

Barcelona worthy favourites at 1/2

The door could be ajar then, for Barcelona to jump to the top of the queue – and the bookmakers have priced Los Cules to lift the title at 1/2 for that reason.

A win for Ronaldo Koeman’s charges in their game in hand on Thursday against Granada would fire them to La Liga’s summit, while a final flurry of fixtures that includes meetings with Granada, Valencia, Levante, Celta Vigo and Eibar looks manageable for a team without European endeavours to worry about.

Barca’s contest at home to Atletico Madrid on May 8 looks a potentially pivotal fixture, though Los Colchoneros haven’t won at Camp Nou since 2006, and the hosts will be strong favourites to prevail.

COMPLIANT - Axel Witsel Borussia Dortmund Champions League

Bundesliga outright odds (without Bayern Munich)

  • RB Leipzig – 1/66
  • Wolfsburg – 20/1
  • Eintracht Frankfurt – 80/1
  • Borussia Dortmund – 80/1

Bundesliga outright predictions

The perennially dominant Bayern Munich have once again disappeared over the horizon in Germany, leaving the usual clutch of clubs to battle it out for the Bavarians’ scraps behind them.

RB Leipzig – who look set to lose highly-regarded manager Julian Nagelsmann to Bayern this summer – are almost certain to claim the runners up spot in the Bundesliga, rendering the bookmakers’ “without Bayern Munich” market redundant.

However, the odds available for a Bundesliga top four finish are far more appealing.

4/6 Dortmund to salvage season?

Borussia Dortmund have fallen well short of expectations in Germany this season, though a late-season surge could allow them to salvage something from a disappointing campaign by securing a top-four finish.

Lucian Favre’s side are currently fifth and just one point behind Eintracht Frankfurt in fourth and two behind third placed Wolfsburg with just three fixtures left to play, though a run of four straight victories means Dortmund can approach the run-in with confidence.

BVB beat rivals Wolfsburg 2-0 in their last outing and it could be Die Wolfe who miss out on the Champions League with a tough final gauntlet of games against Union Berlin (H), RB Leipzig (A) and in-form Mainz (H) to come.

AC Milan Europa League

Serie A outright odds

  • Inter Milan – 1/500
  • Atalanta – 50/1
  • Juventus – 250/1
  • AC Milan – 500/1
  • Napoli – 500/1

Serie A outright predictions

Inter Milan are just a couple of wins away from breaking Juventus’ stranglehold in Italy and lifting their first Serie A title since 2010, and Antonio Conte’s troops should seal the deal before they visit his former club Juve in Turin on May 15.

Nine points below Inter is where the real action remains however, and the battle to secure a top-four finish should go to the wire with five teams vying for the three remaining slots.

AC Milan’s campaign to finish with a whimper?

AC Milan had threatened to match Inter stride for stride in this season’s skirmish for the Scudetto, though the youthful Rossoneri outfit stand on the brink of capitulation following back-to-back defeats to Sassuolo and Lazio.

Goal difference is currently keeping the Milanese giants just outside the top-four, however, their chances of turning their situation around look slim with away tests at Champions League qualification rivals Juventus and Atalanta to come before the campaign closes.

COMPLIANT - Christophe Galtier Lille manager Europa League

Ligue 1 outright odds

  • PSG – 4/7
  • Lille – 13/8
  • Monaco – 14/1
  • Lyon – 100/1

Ligue 1 outright predictions

The continent’s most compelling plotlines are unfolding in France, where PSG will have to fight tooth and nail to keep hold of their Ligue 1 title.

The big-spending Parisians – who have Champions League and Coupe de France semi-finals on the agenda – find themselves in an unfamiliar position with four Ligue 1 fixtures left to play, trailing league leading Lille by a single point.

Monaco, who have won 13 of their last 17 games in Ligue 1, are just a point further back in third behind PSG and Les Monégasques are still firmly in the title conversation.

13/8 Lille to finish with a fairy-tale flourish?

Christophe Galtier’s exciting young Les Dogues team bared their teeth with recent wins at their title rivals from the capital (1-0) and at Lyon (3-2), hinting that they have the quality and staying power to upset the odds in 2020/21.

In Jonathan Ikone (22), Yusuf Yazici (24), Boubakary Soumare (22), Jonathan David (21) and Sven Botman (21), Lille have some of Europe’s most coveted rising stars, and the club’s wonderkids could sign off in style before moves to some of the continent’s heavyweights in the summer.

Remaining games against Nice (H), Lens (A), Saint-Etienne (H) and Angers (A) will hold no fear of Lille, and four wins would guarantee their first title since 2011 and just their second overall since 1954.
