Experts Best Bets: 93/1 Acca covering this weekend's football!

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

We’ve got another busy weekend of summer football ahead, featuring matches from the Club World Cup, Under-21 Euros, MLS and more. Once again, we’ve called in a panel of experts to help us sift through the slate. You can see each of their best bets below, which combine for a 93/1, weekend-long, sixfold.

Experts’ Accumulator Tip

James Milton

Benfica vs Chelsea – Benfica or draw double chance at 7/10 with bet365

Benfica did not lose any of their last 15 Primeira Liga matches in 2024-25 and they have proved just as hard to beat at the Club World Cup.

Bruno Lage’s men came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Boca Juniors in their opening fixture before thumping Auckland City 6-0 and defeating Bayern Munich 1-0.

The Group C winners are expected to give Chelsea a good game in the round of 16 and Enzo Maresca’s Blues, who lost 3-1 to Flamengo on matchday two, should be opposed in 90 minutes.

Jamie Griffith

England U21 vs Germany U21 – England U21 to win at 8/5 with bet365

Germany may have gotten the better of England in the group stage but that 2-1 win for the Germans came when Young Lions boss Lee Carsley was still trying to find his best XI, something he has since achieved.

After starting no striker and only two natural defenders in that defeat, Carsley has had great success with Jay Stansfield leading the line and a standard back four. With those tweaks, England beat joint-favourites Spain in the quarters before limiting the Dutch to just 0.15 expected goals in the semis.

Back a well-drilled and supremely talented England to exact revenge on Germany at the perfect time.

Joe Casey

Montreal vs New York City – New York City at 27/20 with bet365

Montreal have had a dismal MLS season, they currently sit bottom of the Eastern Conference after losing 12 of their 19 games and look set for more misery when they take on New York City in the early hours of Sunday.

Only Austin have scored fewer goals in the MLS than Montreal’s 16 and they also have the fourth-worst defensive record across both conferences, conceding 36 times.

New York put four past a decent Atalanta side last time out and while they have not been the best on the road this season, they won’t get many better opportunities than this one. Side with the visitors to win.

Ian Wilkerson

FC Dallas vs San Diego – San Diego to win at 23/20 with bet365

Any fears that new franchise San Diego would need time to find their feet in Major League Soccer have been quickly dispelled as they sit at the top of the Western Conference and should be confident about Saturday night’s trip to Dallas.

The Californians are averaging two goals a game and have won four of their last five games, scoring nine times in two recent victories in Minnesota and Vancouver.

Dallas look vulnerable having won just one of their last eight games and they will be mindful of the 5-0 defeat they suffered in the reverse fixture at the beginning of last month.

Mexico’s Hirving Lozano scored twice that day and he can help the leaders to another three points.

Aaron Rogan

Albirex Niigata vs Machida Zelvia – Both teams to score at Evens with bet365

Albirex Niigata are third bottom of the J-League, but they head into this weekend’s fixture having won consecutive home matches. They host mid-table Machida Zelvia, a side who have found the net in all eight of their trips to sides below them.

The hosts have scored in each of their previous five home league games, while Machida Zelvia have conceded in each of their last six trips. While results are turning around for Albirex Niigata, they’ve shipped 30 goals in 20 matches this season, so both teams to score appeals.

Dan Childs

Flamengo vs Bayern Munich – Flamengo double chance at 9/4 with bet365

Flamengo were surprise winners of Group D at the Club World Cup and can continue their journey by overcoming Bayern Munich in Miami.

All four Brazilian participants progressed to the round of 16 but none have impressed more than Flamengo, who had top spot in their section wrapped up with a game to spare.

Head coach Felipe Luis led his side to a 3-1 victory over Chelsea and had the luxury of making seven changes for the 1-1 draw against Los Angeles FC, which carried no real significance for either team.

Bayern were expected to dominate Group C but ended up in second place after a 1-0 loss to Benfica.

The Bavarians have not been fully convincing and may be the next high-profile team to suffer at the hands of Flamengo, who are setting the pace in the Brazilian top flight.
