FA Cup player props tips

Everton vs Sunderland

Everton midfield duo James Garner and Timothy Iroegbunam are among the top tacklers in the Premier League, and the latter of this combative duo looks the best value to get stuck in against Sunderland at lunchtime on Saturday, with over 2.5 tackles priced at 5/6.

The 22-year-old won three of his five tackle attempts against Wolves in midweek and has averaged 2.78 tackles won per 90 minutes for the Toffees this season. 22 of these have come in his last six starts, with three or more tackles in four of these games.

Newcastle vs Bournemouth

Another player backed to be in the thick of things is Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, who visits St James’ Park to potentially face a foul-happy midfield trio of Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, and Sandro Tonali.

Scott was fouled four times in Bournemouth’s thrilling win over Spurs in midweek and has drawn three or more fouls in two of his last four games, so he looks good value to be fouled over 2.5 times at 6/4.

Sticking with the action in the north east, Harvey Barnes has had seven shots on target from nine attempts in his last three appearances for Newcastle. Fresh from scoring a brace against Leeds in midweek, the 28-year-old could be a thorn in the Cherries’ side on Saturday and comes in at 13/8 to have two or more attempts on target.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Brentford

A bit further south at Hillsborough, Igor Thiago is 8/13 to find the net as the record-breaking Brazilian looks to continue his fine form.

The Brentford striker scored his 15th and 16th league goals of the season in midweek to surpass the record for the most Premier League goals scored by a Brazilian in a single season, previously jointly held by Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Martinelli, and Matheus Cunha.

Thiago has bagged five of those goals in his last two games and scored from the bench in the EFL Cup earlier this season, so he could run riot against the worst defence in the Championship.

Tottenham vs Aston Villa

Another in-form attacker set to make a difference is Morgan Rogers, who is 6/5 to score or assist against the struggling Tottenham in one of Saturday’s standout fixtures.

Rogers has a club-high 13 goal contributions for the Villains this season and has four goals and one assist in his last six appearances for the club. He has faced off with Spurs four times since the beginning of last season and has either scored or assisted in each of those appearances, including a goal and an assist in the Villains’ 2-1 win over Spurs in last season’s FA Cup.

Manchester United vs Brighton

Sunday’s marquee fixture takes us to Old Trafford as interim manager Darren Fletcher hopes to extend his stay in the Manchester United dugout, and Benjamin Sesko could be key to that quest.

The Slovenian striker notched both goals in the Red Devils’ draw with Burnley on Wednesday, netting those from a massive eight shots on goal, seven of which hit the target. He has had 17 shots in his last three games and will be looking to cement his place in the first team following a slow start to life in Manchester, making over 2.5 shots a solid bet at 5/4.
