Super Bowl LX player prop predictions
Sam Darnold 5+ Rushing Yards @ 8/13 with Paddy Power
Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold would like his hands to do the talking on Sunday, but the 28-year-old should get the chance to stretch his legs in this contest.
The Seahawks are a run-first team, but that usually allows Seattle to call play-action plays, allowing Darnold to find space.
He rushed for nine yards against the Los Angeles Rams in the 31-27 win in the Championship Round of the playoffs. Darnold’s rush rate dramatically increased in the second half of the season and in a game that could be split by the finest of margins, he may need to steal a few yards here and there on the ground.
The former Carolina Panthers quarterback has rushed for five yards or more in five of his last seven games and he can add to that total in this battle.
Kenneth Walker III 25+ Receiving Yards @ 11/10 with Paddy Power
The Patriots are known for their resolute rush defence, meaning Seattle may need to adjust their gameplan on Sunday.
With fellow runningback Zach Charbonnet injured, Kenneth Walker III will get the majority of the workload, but he should make an impact as a receiver.
Walker III caught seven passes for 49 yards against the Rams, while he has now picked up at least 29 receiving yards in four of his last five appearances.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba 80+ Receiving Yards @ 1/2 with Paddy Power
Seattle receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba finished the regular season with the most receiving yards, racking up an impressive 1,793. He has added 172 in two games in the playoffs, with 153 of those coming against the Rams.
He is the man to watch in Seattle’s passing attack and while New England will look to shut him down, it’s hard to see them being able to keep him quiet. Seattle’s offence can play conservatively and then find an explosive play out of nowhere, and Smith-Njiba could be the reason for that.
He has recorded at least 70 receiving yards in six of his last seven and the stage is set for a possible MVP-worthy performance.
TreVeyon Henderson 25+ Rushing + Receiving Yards @ 8/11 with Paddy Power
TreVeyon Henderson was a passenger in New England’s 10-7 win over the Denver Broncos last week, but he should be given more chances this week.
He finished with only five rushing yards in Denver, but if New England are to have any chance of winning, they need to get him involved on a more regular basis.
Seattle’s defence does not blitz as much as Denver’s, which means Henderson should get more chances to progress downfield as a receiver.
Henderson finished the regular season with 50 rushing yards or more in nine of his last 10 appearances, so expect New England to bring him back into their gameplan.
