Good Friday's EFL Anytime Goalscorer Betting Tips Special with Huge 44/1 Acca!

Born in the south east of Ireland, Simon put his life-long love of football to good use when he started a successful independent blog in 2010. That opened up an alternative route to a career in journalism, and having had work published across a number of sites and publications, Simon joined the staff at Spotlight Sports Group in 2018.

There is a full programme of EFL fixtures across the Championship, League One and League Two to enjoy on Good Friday, with dozens of exciting contests to look forward to across the three divisions.

As always, the poachers, goal-getters and hitmen who prowl that trio of domestic competitions, will be hoping to provide the ammunition and cutting edge their teams need to secure positive results.

Those same match-defining players routinely rank near the top of the list in the bookmakers’ always popular Anytime Goalscorer markets.

To help you delve into those markets as a more informed bettor, we’ve compiled a list of the players we think are in with a cracking chance of getting on the scoresheet in Good Friday’s EFL fixtures.

Tammy Abraham – 4/6 (Bolton Wanderers vs ASTON VILLA, Championship)

Red-hot Aston Villa put their 8-match winning streak to the test at relegation certainties Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium on Friday, and centre forward Tammy Abraham will be backing himself to score.

The Chelsea loanee has enjoyed a fabulous season in the Championship, netting 24 goals in 36 games for his temporary employers since August.

More recently, Abraham has registered 3 times in his last 4 appearances for Villa, and the 21-year old will be rubbing his hands at the thought of facing a Bolton Wanderers rearguard that has the joint worst defensive record in the division this season.

Abraham looks brilliant value at 4/6 with bet365 to score anytime against the Trotters in what should be a comfortable afternoon’s work for Villa.

Dwight Gayle – 10/11 (WEST BROM vs Hull City, Championship)

West Brom Gayle

Fresh from his superb hattrick in West Brom’s 4-1 win over Preston last weekend, Baggies’ frontman Dwight Gayle will be bursting at the seams with confidence ahead of Albion’s latest Championship contest against Hull City at the Hawthorns on Friday.

Gayle’s treble brought his recent tally to 5 goals in just 4 games for West Brom, and the 28-year old former Newcastle United star has an impressive haul of 21 for the Championship season overall.

On Friday, WBA will be lining up against a Hull City outfit that has lost 6 of it’s last 7 Championship matches on the road.

The Baggies will expect to take maximum points against notoriously bad travellers Hull, and Gayle should find himself at the business end of their attacking play again.

You can back Gayle to score anytime against Hull at cracking looking 10/11 odds with bet365.

Brett Pitman – 13/8 (Burton Albion vs PORTSMOUTH, League One)

In-form Portsmouth will be aiming to extend their 5-match winning streak in League One at Burton Albion’s expense when the teams meet at the Pirelli Stadium on Friday.

Central to their recent positive sequence and to their success this season as a whole, has been 31-year old striker and joint leading scorer Brett Pitman.

Pitman has scored 10 times in just 12 League One starts for Pompey this season, though the Jersey- born forward bagged 50% of those goals inside his last 5 appearances alone for Portsmouth.

Everything Pitman touches at the moment seems to hit the net, and we think we is priced generously at 13/8 with bet365 to score anytime again on Friday.

Tom Eaves – 6/5 (GILLINGHAM vs Plymouth Argyle, League One)

Securing League One survival is still high on both Gillingham’s and Plymouth’s agendas ahead of the teams’ skirmish on Friday.

The fixture at the Priestfield Stadium is a contest that promises plenty of excitement and goals, and Gills striker Tom Eaves will be at the front of the queue to get his name on the scoresheet.

The 27-year old Liverpudlian is currently second in the race to be League One’s top scorer this season, having notched 19 goals in 33 starts this term for his club.

Having scored 4 times in 7 games between the 19th of February and the 23rd of March, Eaves accuracy has dwindled somewhat of late, and the attacker comes into Friday’s clash without a goal in 3 matches.

We think Eaves has a great chance to rediscover his goalscoring touch against a Plymouth side without a clean sheet in 6 however, and you can back him to register anytime at 6/5 with bet365.

John Akinde – 6/5 (Carlisle United vs LINCOLN CITY, League Two)

Lincoln City have been incredibly consistent en-route to the summit of League Two this season, and one of their star individual performers during their collectively brilliant campaign has been centre forward John Akinde.

The imposing 29-year old has hit 17 goals in league and cup this season for the Imps, and Akinde has displayed an incredibly useful knack of hitting the net in tough away fixtures for Lincoln over the past month.

Akinde has scored 4 times in his last 4 appearances in away matches for Lincoln, and we think he can make a similar impact at Brunton Park on Friday.

The South African poacher scored against Carlisle when Lincoln beat the Cumbrians 2-0 in their FA Cup meeting earlier in the season, and we’re tipping him to repeat the trick this week at 6/5 with bet365.
