In The Mixer: 380/1 Acca for Wednesday's Champions League action

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
The Champions League’s first stage wraps up on Wednesday night, with 18 matches all kicking off at 8pm. That setup should give us plenty of drama as sides wrestle for positions, while it’s perfect for an accumulator.
We’ve asked seven writers to pick a winner from Wednesday’s card, and they’ve put together this 382/1 accumulator!

Monaco vs Juventus – Juventus to win
Juventus have won their last three Champions League games against Bodo/Glimt, Pafos and Benfica and they can complete a clean sweep of the second half of their league phase with a win in Monaco.
The Italian side’s only European defeat has been a 1-0 away loss at Real Madrid, which is no disgrace, and while they can still finish in any of the top three sections in the final standings from their current 15th position, they can guarantee at least a top half finish.
Juve have lost only one of their last ten league and cup games, while the home side are struggling with more Ligue 1 defeats than wins this season.
Monaco have lost five of their last nine games, including a 6-1 thrashing at Real Madrid in this competition last week and a 3-1 defeat by Lorient in their last home league match.

Athletic Bilbao vs Sporting Lisbon – Athletic Bilbao to win
Athletic Bilbao are in must-win territory to secure their place in the knockout stages. They are currently 23rd, one place above the cut-off point, but only sit there due to goal difference.
They can, of course, still qualify with defeat if results go their way, but given how tight it is around that cut-off point of 24th place, they will want to take qualification into their own hands rather than rely on teams below them slipping up, with sides from 22nd to 32nd all separated by just two points.
They take on Sporting, who have already secured knockout football, but have done so without winning away from home. Bilbao can take advantage of that and will be confident after beating Atalanta last week.

Union Saint-Gilloise vs Atalanta – Atalanta to win
Atalanta look good value for the away win at Union Saint-Gilloise, with Raffaele Palladino having made a tremendous impact since taking the reins.
La Dea have won 10 of the 15 games in which he has been in charge, which includes a 3-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt and a 2-1 home success over Chelsea in Europe.
They were beaten 3-2 at home by Athletic Bilbao last time out in Europe, but still have a chance to make the top eight and come into this on the back of a 4-0 win on Sunday.
Union have already lost to Marseille (3-2), Inter (4-0) and Newcastle (4-0) at home and Atalanta can make it a perfect four.

PSV vs Bayern Munich – Bayern Munich to win
I expected PSV to give Newcastle a tough test in the Champions League last week, but I was staggered at how bad the Dutch side were at St James’ Park.
The Eindhoven men were crushed 3-0, in a game where they could manage only one shot on target, and if PSV aren’t performing in attacking areas, they aren’t performing full stop.
Bayern Munich have qualification in the bag, but the Bavarians will still be striving for a top-two finish and the Germans have drifted to a backable price.
I wouldn’t be too worried by the weekend’s shock 2-1 loss to Augsburg and I expect Vincent Kompany’s side to be comfortable winners in Eindhoven.

Borussia Dortmund vs Inter Milan – Borussia Dortmund to win
These sides meet in Germany with Dortmund in 16th and Inter two spots and one point further up the table. They should both advance to the knockouts while a win for either could still land a top-eight finish, although it looks unlikely.
Dortmund were undone by a red card against Tottenham last week but responded with a 3-0 Bundesliga win at Union Berlin, meaning it is just one loss in nine across all competitions.
Inter were well beaten by Arsenal on matchday seven and had to come from 0-2 down at the San Siro to see off Pisa on Serie A duty since.
Only one side in the top 16 has scored less than Inter’s 10 goals, while Dortmund have hit 19 so far, including 10 in three home games. The Germans can condemn Inter to their fourth straight Champions League loss.

Ajax vs Olympiakos – Ajax to win
Remarkably after losing their opening five matches in the league phase, Ajax can still qualify for the knockout stages but they know they will need to beat Olympiakos at the Johan Cruyff Arena to have any hopes of progressing.
Ajax have certainly improved over recent weeks, winning seven of their last 10 across all competitions, a run that includes back-to-back Champions League successes against Qarabag and Villarreal.
Olympiakos currently occupy the final qualifying position for the knockout stages and may not know whether to stick or twist in Amsterdam. The Greeks have been comprehensively beaten away to Arsenal and Barcelona in this season’s competition and may come up short again.

Club Brugge vs Marseille – Club Brugge to win
Two teams who still have hopes of making the play-offs meet in Belgium and the hosts are fancied to edge what could be a nervy occasion.
Club Brugge need a win to stand any chance of finishing in the top 24 and they have demonstrated they can be tough to handle at home already in the competition, beating Monaco 4-1 at the Jan Breydel Stadium, while they also drew 3-3 there with Barcelona.
Marseille are in the play-off places going into the final matchday in the league phase but know a defeat could knock them out, and they were insipid in their 3-0 home loss against Liverpool last week.
This is another tough test for the French side, who look set to fall just short.
