The Club World Cup gets underway this weekend, and along with our outright predictions, group winner predictions, and special bets, we’ve rounded up a host of experts to give us their best bet in any market.

Joe Casey

Harry Kane to be top goalscorer. Bayern Munich have landed in the same group as amateur side Auckland City and could really rack up the score against the New Zealanders, who were beaten 6-2 by Emirati side Al Ain last year.

Expect their star striker to lead the way as they should put plenty past those opponents and their fellow Group C team Benfica and Boca Juniors.

Kane was Bundesliga top scorer and with the England captain at their disposal, Vincent Kompany’s side could have a deep run at the Club World Cup, further increasing the former Tottenham man’s chances of finding the net.

Joe Champion

Real Madrid are a shade of odds-against to win all three group matches, and it would come as a shock if they fail to claim maximum points.

Los Blancos are housed in Group H alongside Saudi side Al-Hilal, Mexican outfit Pachuca, and Red Bull Salzburg, the latter of whom are probably the weakest of the European clubs.

New boss Xabi Alonso will want to immediately prove his worth, while the players should be eager to impress their new manager.

The decision to pay Liverpool for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s early release suggests that the Spanish giants are taking the Club World Cup seriously.

Alex Jack

Having stormed their way to the Champions League title this season, Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain are a great price at 5-1 to win the Club World Cup.

PSG rose to the big occasion in the Champions League final, as they blew away Inter Milan with a 5-0 victory in Munich.

With a front three of Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué, PSG boast one of the best attacking line-ups in the game.

Bradley Barcola, Senny Mayulu and Gonçalo Ramos were on the bench in the Champions League final, further showing the strength in depth PSG have to go all the way at this Club World Cup.

James Mason

River Plate, drawn in Group E alongside Urawa Red Diamonds, Monterrey and Inter Milan, lost in the final of this event in 2015, and the Argentine giants look capable of topping their pool this year.

La Banda’s toughest opponents look to be this season’s Champions League runners-up Inter, who have only just appointed Cristian Chivu as their new head coach following Simon Inzaghi’s departure.

It may take the Nerazzurri some time to adjust to life under Chivu, and River Plate can take advantage of that situation by advancing into the knockout stages as group winners.

Tom McGarry

Palmeiras offer great value at 7-4 to top Group A ahead of a Porto side that endured an underwhelming domestic season, as well as Al Ahly and Inter Miami.

The Brazilians have won 13 of their last 16 matches and although they have suffered two defeats over recent weeks, that can be put down to their focus switching to this competition.

An opening game against Porto could prove decisive, but Abel Ferreira’s side, who boast former Barcelona forward Vitor Roque within their ranks, can edge that match and ultimately top the section.

Aidan Perkins

Fluminense go into the tournament in great form, having won their last four games, and the Brazilian side should fancy their chances of dominating Group F.

They are available at around 2/1 to top the section, which looks achievable as they are in with Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan HD and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Fluminense have German side Dortmund first and if they avoid defeat in that key clash, their confidence should soar.

Aaron Rogan

Borussia Dortmund have landed a kind draw, they’re expected to top a group containing Fluminense, Ulsan HD, and Mamelodi Sundowns.

That pits them against the Group E runner-up in the last 16, which is expected to be River Plate. Despite winning seven of their final eight Bundesliga games, they’re best-priced 11/8 to reach the last eight and a huge 5/1 to make the semis.
