Introducing The Decagon: 10 leagues, 10 games, one HUGE 1155/1 acca!

Born in the south east of Ireland, Simon put his life-long love of football to good use when he started a successful independent blog in 2010. That opened up an alternative route to a career in journalism, and having had work published across a number of sites and publications, Simon joined the staff at Spotlight Sports Group in 2018.

Variety is definitely the spice of life, and you can add an extra sprinkling of excitement to your punting by expanding your horizons.

There are dozens of divisions across Europe delivering high-octane action by the bucketful every weekend and dipping your toe into unfamiliar leagues around the continent can be tons of fun.

With that in mind, FST would like to introduce The Decagon – our new weekly football accumulator featuring 10 games from 10 different leagues combined into one HUGE acca!

Below you can see our set of selection from the first ever Decagon – and remember – you can find loads more free betting tips for the weekend’s fixtures over on our match predictions page!

The Decagon 1,155/1 acca

KV Oostende vs Genk (Belgium First Division A)

Betting tip: Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score

Remarkably, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score landed in 100% of KV Oostende’s last eight matches in league and cup, and on Saturday, they take on the division’s second highest scorers in Genk.

Rheindorf Altach vs Rapid Wien (Austria Bundesliga)

Betting tip: Rapid Wien to win and both teams to score

Rapid are mounting a title challenge this season and fresh from five wins on the bounce, they should prove too powerful for bottom club Altach. Both teams have scored in seven of the last eight meetings between the teams however, so a clean sheet for the visitors looks unlikely.

Torino vs Genoa (Italy Serie A)

Betting tip: Genoa double chance

Genoa have enjoyed a fabulous few weeks, taking 12 points from the last 15 on offer, and Davide Ballardini’s charges have tasted defeat just once in eight Serie A fixtures overall. Torino meanwhile, have yet to win a single home game this season, and they should struggle to match their opponents again.

Dundee United vs Livingston (Scotland Premiership)

Betting tip: Livingston to win

Dundee United have lost three of their last four games, while they meet a Livingston side who have been in great form of late. The visitors have won 13, drawn three and lost two of their last 18. They come into this clash with six wins in seven away trips and they have won three of the last four meetings between these two sides.

Reims vs Lens (France Ligue 1)

Betting tip: Lens draw no bet

Reims were dumped out of the Coupe de France to lower-league opposition in midweek and have now lost back-to-back games in all competitions. They face a Lens side unbeaten in four matches, while each of their last three away games has ended in victory.

Dinamo Zagreb vs NK Osijek (Croatia 1. HNL)

Betting tip: Both teams to score

First meets second in Croatia, and we expect the division’s big hitters Dinamo Zagreb and NK Osijek to exchange goals in the capital. Dinamo are the league’s top scorers this term, while Osijek haven’t failed to score in a single fixture since their opening day blank against Slaven Koprivnica.

Granada vs Atletico Madrid (Spain La Liga)

Betting tip: Atletico Madrid to win

Table topping Atletico Madrid like a formidable force this season, and Diego Simeone’s charges took maximum points in eight of their last nine La Liga tests. Granada meanwhile, are nursing their pride following a dismal run of one win in seven assignments, and they should offer little resistance against the title favourites.

VfB Stuttgart vs Hertha Berlin (Germany Bundesliga)

Betting tip: VfB Stuttgart to win

Hertha are hurtling towards the drop zone after suffering four defeats on the spin and they could lose again to a Stuttgart side that turned them over 2-0 in Berlin in October. VfB finally won at home for the first time against Mainz in their last runout at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, and with confidence renewed, they can repeat the trick.

Groningen vs PEC Zwolle (Netherlands Eredivisie)

Betting tip: Groningen to win

Groningen have been strong at home in the Eredivisie this season and only two visiting teams have left the Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadium with a win. Zwolle meanwhile, have won only twice in 10 league matches on the road, and another disappointing away day looks possible here.

Nacional vs Farense (Portugal Primeira Liga)

Betting tip: Nacional to win

Nacional have hit a rich vein of form just in time to welcome bottom club Farense to Estádio da Madeira, where they can maintain their momentum with another win. Farense have lost all but one of their away games in Liga Nos this term, and their penchant for slipping up on the road should continue on Saturday.
