Moses Itauma has put together a 12-0 record with 10 stoppages to establish himself as the rising star of British boxing but he faces his biggest test to date on Saturday against veteran Dillian Whyte.
Whyte is a former world title challenger with a 31-3 record, with 21 wins inside the distance. The 37-year-old has faced some of the biggest names in the heavyweight division over the course of his career and has wins over the likes of Joseph Parker and Dereck Chisora on his CV – while his losses have come against elite opposition in the shape of Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin, who he then defeated in a rematch.
Itauma is the clear favourite and his devastating performances so far suggest he can continue his winning streak but Whyte is a level above the opponents he has faced so far. The co-main event sees WBA featherweight king Nick Ball defend his title against Sam Goodman, while Filip Hrgovic and Raymond Ford are also on a stacked card.
I’ve got the headline event covered, details on how to watch and an 11/1 treble for Saturday’s boxing in Riyadh.

Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte prediction and fight preview
Moses Itauma is understandably a huge favourite to overcome Dillian Whyte in what feels like it could be a passing of the torch moment in British heavyweight boxing.
Whyte is a former world title challenger but he’s been inactive for large periods recently and has only fought three times since a sixth round stoppage loss to Tyson Fury for the WBC title back in 2022, whereas Itauma has put together a 12-0 record with 10 KOs since making his debut in 2023.
However, Itauma is just 1/9 to win and 2/9 to win by KO, TKO or DQ and there is just no appeal in backing him at those prices, even if ultimately I am expecting him to get the job done inside the distance.
Whyte is a clear jump up in class for the 20-year-old and is an incredibly tough fighter, even if all three of his losses have come inside the distance. The Bodysnatcher has only lost to top quality fighters and only one of those defeats has come before the sixth round.
Itauma obviously has incredible power and he’s an accurate puncher, but Whyte is an experienced professional and should be able to at least reach the second half of this bout even if he is unable to pull off an upset.
Itauma vs Whyte card treble tip
Over 5.5 rounds – Itauma vs Whyte
Nick Ball to win in rounds 7-12 vs Sam Goodman
Nick Ball has the distinction of being Britain’s only current boxer to hold a world title and he defends his WBC featherweight crown against unbeaten Australian Sam Goodman in the co-main event.
The Wrecking Ball has stopped his last two opponents and he can make it three in a row, but Goodman is no pushover and should be able to keep this competitive in the early stages. Take Ball to get a win over the line in the second half.
Raymond Ford to win by decision or technical decision vs Abraham Nova
Raymond Ford is 17-1-1 and the only loss on his record is a split decision defeat to Nick Ball. He should have too much for Abraham Nova, who has only won one of his last four bouts. However, Nova has only ever been stopped once and Ford’s last two wins have come on points so the American may need the judges.
