Long Haul: 26/1 Home Heroes acca through to the new EFL season

Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.
The new EFL season kicks off this week with a League One clash between relegated Luton Town and promoted AFC Wimbledon getting the ball rolling on Friday night.
We have to wait another week for the Championship, but there is a full programme of third and fourth tier fixtures to come at the weekend.
Before all that, we’ve got some European qualifiers across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and there is plenty to go at in the week ahead.
I’ve looked over the fixtures and picked out a home team each day of the week from Tuesday to Sunday to form a six-fold accumulator. I’ve used bet365 to put together this acca and new customers can take advantage of their sign-up offer using the button below.

Tuesday
Barnet to win vs Newport County
Before the new EFL season starts we have an amuse-bouche of sorts in the shape of a solitary EFL Cup game on Tuesday.
League Two rivals Barnet and Newport County clash in a preliminary round this season due to the fact that nine Premier League teams are involved in Europe this term, prompting an amendment to the cup’s format.
I’m going for a Barnet win here as the Bees have momentum coming into the new season after winning promotion, while Newport who failed to win any of their final nine games last term (D3, L6). The Bees were also unbeaten at home in the National League last term.
Wednesday
Salzburg to win vs Brann
Salzburg have one foot in the next round of Champions League qualifying after a 4-1 win in the first leg of this tie.
The Austrians outclassed their Norwegian opponents in the first leg and should be able to finish the job with a win on Wednesday.
Thursday
Shakhtar Donetsk to win vs Besiktas
Shakhtar won 4-2 at Besiktas in the first leg of this Europa League tie and with home advantage in the return leg they can come through with another victory.
The scoreline in Istanbul probably flattered Shakhtar a little, but they are a stronger team as the designated home side (this match will be played in Wroclaw, Poland). Meanwhile, Besiktas struggled on the road in Europe last term, losing at Bodo/Glimt and Twente.
The Turkish side will have to attack and that should give Shakhtar chances on the counter so they can book their spot in the next round with a win.
Friday
Luton to win vs AFC Wimbledon
Luton have suffered the ignominy of back-to-back relegations and they now find themselves in League One after reaching the Premier League in 2023.
The Hatters can start their comeback bid with a win over League Two play-off winners Wimbledon on Friday night at Kenilworth Road. The Wombles have recruited fairly well over the summer and may be able to compete in the third tier, but there is a gulf in class here and Luton should be able to claim the spoils in front of their own fans.
Saturday
Doncaster to win vs Exeter
Doncaster were also promoted from League Two last season but they went up as champions and have been handed a winnable opener against Exeter.
The Grecians have lost a few key men over the summer and it could take them a while to settle, indeed they may be set for a tough season. Donny were excellent at home last term – losing just four of their 23 games. The South Yorkshire side should come into the new season in optimistic mood after their title winning campaign and they should be able to kick off in style with three points.
Sunday
Hannover to win vs Kaiserslautern
There is one League One game on Sunday as Stockport host Bolton. A home win does look a decent option here but County are clear favourites so I’ve picked out a better value option in Germany’s second tier instead.
Kaiserslautern’s poor away form was one of the key reasons why they fell short in their promotion bid last season as they lost eight of their 17 trips. Hannover had an excellent home record with eight wins and just two defeats in 17 games at this venue, they also won the corresponding fixture 3-1 last season and should have too much for Kaiserslautern in this curtain raiser on Sunday.
