Our EFL outright predictions combine for one huge 431/1 treble tip

Sports Journalist at FST, Gareth qualified as a journalist after graduating from university and spent over a decade as a freelance broadcast journalist, commentator and tipster before joining FST. Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.

The new season kicks off in earnest this week with a full round of fixtures in League One and League Two and that means it is time for the annual FST EFL winners treble – with this season’s offering priced at a whopping 431/1.

Racing Post football expert Joe Casey has provided all three of these selections and we recommend backing this as an each-way bet, covering the top three places in each league.

The Championship doesn’t start until next week but this bet will have to be placed before 8pm on Friday, when the new League One campaign gets underway as Luton host AFC Wimbledon.

All odds are correct at the time of publishing and we’ve priced this bet up with bet365 and new customers can take advantage of their sign-up offer using the button below.

Back Our 431/1 EFL Outright Winners Treble Tip Here

Championship Outright Tip – Ipswich Town @ 7/2

Joe Casey’s verdict: The Tractor Boys had a tough time in the top flight last term, finishing 19th, but they look well set up to bounce back at the first time of asking.

Kieran McKenna is one of the most coveted young managers in English football and has resisted the urge to jump ship, which is a massive positive.

Despite losing star striker Liam Delap, they have a raft of players who have been successful at this level before.

Jaden Philogene, Leif Davis, Jack Clarke, Sammie Szmodics and Jacob Greaves have all excelled in the Championship in the past and form a very solid core.

Ipswich have also added solid midfielder Azor Matusiwa, the experience of Ashley Young and Ivory Coast defender Cedric Kipre.

League One Outright Tip – Bolton Wanderers @ 11/1

Joe Casey’s verdict: The three relegated teams – Luton, Plymouth and Cardiff – head the market but there are a number of interesting contenders in the hunt for promotion to the Championship.

Bolton are one such team and they have solid credentials when it comes to topping the table.

Wanderers finished eighth and just missed out on the play-offs last season after Steven Schumacher’s arrival as new manager in March but with a full summer to prepare under the boss they look like they could be big runners.

Schumacher oversaw Plymouth’s League One title win in 2023 so knows what it takes to win at this level and Wanderers have made some eye-catching additions.

Amario Cozier-Duberry is a very highly thought of youngster who has arrived from Brighton on loan after impressing at Blackburn last term while fellow new signing Sam Dalby was the third-highest scorer in the Scottish Premiership for Dundee United last term and could prove a hit at this level.

League Two Outright Tip – Chesterfield @ 7/1

Joe Casey’s verdict: Chesterfield finished with a rattle last season, losing just one of their last 13 games before losing to Walsall in the playoff semi-finals.

It was nonetheless an impressive first season back in the Football League from the Spireites after winning the National League and they look set for another strong campaign.

Only Walsall scored more goals than Paul Cook’s men last term and Lee Bonis is an intriguing addition to Chesterfield’s forward ranks.

Bonis enjoyed plenty of success in Northern Ireland before scoring 11 goals for ADO Den Haag in the Dutch second tier last season. Ryan Stirk played in all but two of Walsall’s league matches last season and has been brought in to shore up the midfield, while Zach Hemming enjoyed productive loan spells at St Mirren and Kilmarnock and should be a safe pair of hands in goal.
