With eight Premier League fixtures scheduled for Saturday, there is plenty of room for building accumulators from all manner of novel and niche markets.

I have already been delving into the card markets here, while Gareth Freeman and Aaron Rogan have been hard at work covering the main markets in our Premier League predictions.

Now, it’s time to take a look at one of the newer betting markets available: the passing attempts. I have rounded up five pass masters in the top flight to build this tasty 25/1 acca on Betfair, where new customers can get £30 in free bets!

Premier League Pass Masters acca

Nottingham Forest vs Man City

Best bet – Rodri to attempt 90+ passes at 8/15

Rodri has attempted more passes than any other Premier League player this season with a huge 2,011, averaging 94 passes per 90 minutes.

His Manchester City side face a Nottingham Forest outfit with the lowest average possession at home in the entire top flight, so expect almost complete domination from the defending champions.

The 26-year-old Spaniard has attempted at least 90 passes in eight of his last 11 Premier League appearances and has cracked the 100 mark on nine occasions this season, including in four of his last six outings.

Chelsea vs Southampton

Best bet – Thiago Silva to attempt 70+ passes at 1/7

Thiago Silva has attempted 1,605 passes in the Premier League this season, with only the aforementioned Rodri and Lewis Dunk surpassing this tally.

This averages out at over 80 pass attempts per 90 minutes and he has attempted at least 70 passes in 11 of his last 14 appearances for club and country and in seven of his last nine Premier League outings.

His last four appearances have yielded an even higher 91.75 attempted passes per game and he hosts a Southampton side with the fifth-worst average possession in the league.

Wolves vs Bournemouth

Best bet – Ruben Neves to attempt 70+ passes at 8/11

I have already talked about two of the worst Premier League sides at keeping the ball, but Bournemouth are bottom of the possession table with an average of just 39.2% of the ball per game. This drops to 37.5% away from home and Wolves’ midfield maestro Ruben Neves can take advantage on Saturday.

The Portugal international attempted 86 passes against Southampton last weekend and has averaged 68.5 attempted passes per game over his last four outings, despite facing both Manchester City and Liverpool in this period.

Neves pulled the strings at the Vitality Stadium in August as he completed 81 of his 94 attempted passes and his last two outings against bottom-half opposition have seen him attempt 86 and 87 passes respectively.

Brighton vs Fulham

Best bet – Pascal Gross to attempt 90+ passes at 11/4

Only two sides cede more possession away from home than Fulham and the Cottagers could be up against it when the face the versatile Pascal Gross.

Gross is second in the Brighton passing tables to Lewis Dunk but has upped his involvement in recent games, attempting an average of 89.25 passes per game over his last four Premier League appearances and breaching 90 attempted passes in three of those fixtures.

Newcastle vs Liverpool

Kieran Trippier to attempt 70+ passes at 13/10

Kieran Trippier has been absolutely instrumental in Newcastle’s success this season and a lot of this comes from his constant involvement in their build-up play.

Only Rodri, Lewis Dunk and Thiago Silva have attempted more passes than his 1,587 this season and last time out he attempted 102 passes against Bournemouth.

He has attempted an average of 89.25 passes per game over his last four outings and has breached 70 attempted passes in each of those. At St James’ Park he has attempted at least 70 passes in five successive league games.
