While most of the selections came flying in without a second thought, one game in particular had us sweating buckets at FST headquarters.
Aberdeen were clear favourites as they hosted St Mirren on Friday night, with the visitors coming into the game rock bottom of the table and having lost each of their last five Scottish Premiership games.
However, a stunning attempt early in the second half put the underdogs in front, and Aberdeen had to wait until the 71st minute to get back on level terms from the penalty spot. The future was looking bleak for our Mega Acca, but Lewis Ferguson had different ideas.
Ollie Watkins, fresh from netting the equaliser, found himself in a bit of space and squared the ball for Ferguson, and he didn’t need any encouragement. The scorer of five goals already this season, Ferguson squeezed a shot past the rushing St Mirren defenders in the 91st minute and had everyone at FST out of their chair!
