The Champions League returns on Tuesday for matchday four and is swiftly followed by the continuation of the Europa League and UEFA Conference League, and then we’re straight back into another week of domestic action.

With the action coming thick and fast, I have rounded up some of my favourite tips for each day of the week, combining into a six-day 40/1 team goals accumulator, which kicks off in Madrid on Tuesday.

This can be backed below on bet365, where new customers can sign up to get £30 in free bets.

Back our 40/1 Team Goals Long Haul here

Tuesday – Atletico Madrid over 2.5 team goals (vs Union Saint-Gilloise)

Atletico Madrid were thrashed at the Emirates in their last Champions League fixture, but they have responded well in La Liga and should put Union Saint-Gilloise to the sword on Tuesday.

Los Colchoneros have scored three or more goals in four of their last five home games – including putting five past Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt – and they face a Belgian side struggling to compete in the Champions League, losing 4-0 against both Newcastle and Inter.

Wednesday – Benfica over 1.5 team goals (vs Bayer Leverkusen)

Benfica are yet to pick up a point in the Champions League league phase, but they should find some attacking success when Bayer Leverkusen visit Lisbon.

The hosts have scored at least two goals in four of their last five, while Bayer Leverkusen were beaten 3-0 in Munich on Saturday and shipped seven at home to PSG in their last Champions League outing, which came just days after a 4-3 win over Mainz.

Thursday – Midtjylland over 1.5 team goals (vs Celtic)

Celtic remain without a permanent manager after Brendan Rodgers’ shock resignation last week, and interim boss Martin O’Neill could be in for a tough trip to Denmark when they face the free-scoring Midtjylland on Thursday.

The hosts have scored eight goals in three Europa League games and are the leading scorers in the Danish Superliga, while the visiting Hoops are yet to win in the competition and have conceded twice or more in their last two away fixtures.

Friday – Paris FC over 1.5 team goals (vs Rennes)

Paris FC have put in a good showing since their promotion to Ligue 1 and they head into gameweek 12 with the best goalscoring record outside the top four.

Les Bleus have scored 11 times in five home matches, notching multiple goals in four of those fixtures. Rennes may have only lost one away game this season, but they have conceded twice or more in four of their five trips and harbour the joint second-worst defensive record on the road.

Saturday – Bayern Munich over 2.5 team goals (vs Union Berlin)

Bayern Munich continued their assault on Europe’s goalscoring records when they put three past Bayer Leverkusen last weekend to secure their 15th successive win of the season.

Die Bayern have scored 54 goals in that period and have only failed to notch three or more in two of them, and they should bag a few more against a Union Berlin side that have conceded more than twice against Eintracht Frankfurt, Hoffenheim, and Borussia Dortmund this term.

Sunday – PSV over 1.5 team goals (vs AZ Alkmaar)

Defending Eredivisie champions PSV may not be top of the table, but their 35 goals puts them top of the goalscoring charts and their trip to Alkmaar offers them the opportunity to add to their tally.

Sunday’s visitors have scored twice or more in 11 of their 12 domestic fixtures this term and in each of their last five meetings with AZ, who have conceded multiple goals in four of their last eight.
