The Long Haul: 44/1 Over 2.5 goals six-fold accumulator for the week ahead

With another international break behind us, the Champions League returns this week with the third round of league phase games on Tuesday and Wednesday before Europa League and Conference League fixtures on Thursday.
I’m hoping for some entertainment this week and I’ve focused on the over 2.5 goals market for this edition of the Long Haul, which starts at 8pm on Tuesday and runs through to Sunday with a selection from each day.
I’ve priced this 44/1 bet up with bet365 and new customers can take advantage of their sign-up offer using the button below.
Goals Galore Long Haul Accumulator
Tuesday – FC Copenhagen vs Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund have scored eight goals across their two Champions League games so far but they’ve also conceded five. Copenhagen held BVB’s German rivals Bayer Leverkusen to a 2-2 draw at this venue on Matchday 1 and they have scored in all their home games in all competitions this season so they should be able to contribute to the total.
Wednesday – Monaco vs Tottenham
This game could be full of goals as over 2.5 goals has landed in seven of Monaco’s last eight games – and they are still yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Spurs have shipped five goals across their last three road games and have scored six themselves during that period. With both attacks in form and both defences showing vulnerabilities, over 2.5 goals seems likely here.
Thursday – Feyenoord vs Panathinaikos
Feyenoord haven’t scored in the Europa League yet but they’ve had two tough games and they should be able to set that right against Panathinaikos. The Dutch league leaders have scored 18 goals in their opening eight league games, while the visitors may be able to get on the scoresheet as well and over 2.5 goals has landed in each of their last three away games.
Friday – Preston vs Sheffield United
You need at least one outside bet on these kinds of accumulators to boost the price and Friday’s Championship match-up between Preston and Sheffield United fits the bill.
North End have scored twice in three of their last four home games, while Sheffield United could be back in business after beating Watford last weekend with Chris Wilder back in the hot seat for a third stint in charge. Both of these teams play on Tuesday before this Friday meeting, and the outcome of those fixtures could alter the current price of 13/8 for over 2.5 goals in this one.
Saturday – Newcastle vs Fulham
Fulham beat Newcastle by an aggregate score of 5-2 across the two league meetings between these sides last season, with both teams scoring in both fixtures. Newcastle’s home games have been fairly entertaining this term with over 2.5 goals landing in four of their six at St James’ Park across all comps, while there have been over three goals scored in three of the Cottagers’ last four league games.
Sunday – Bayer Leverkusen vs Freiburg
Bayer Leverkusen have scored 16 goals in seven Bundesliga games but they’ve also conceded 11, meaning their games average close to 3.9 goals per-game. Freiburg have also been involved in a few high-scoring clashes and over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in each of the last three meetings between these two sides, so over 2.5 goals looks a strong play in this German fixture to finish our Long Haul.
