This is The Perfect 10; where we task ourselves with picking out one selection from 10 different leagues to come up with one huge accumulator ahead of Saturday’s action from across the UK and Europe, and occasionally beyond.

This week, we’ve got a selection from each of England’s top four divisions and a selection from the Scottish Premiership, as well as further picks from France, Spain and Italy.  There are a few home favourites in here, a couple of goals bets and a few bigger price additions to add value to our 10-fold, and all of the games kick off at 3pm or later.

Below you can see our set of selections from this week’s Perfect 10 – and remember – you can find loads more free betting tips for the weekend’s fixtures over on our match predictions page!

The Perfect 10 – 246/1 accumulator

Manchester City vs Southampton (English Premier League)

Betting Tip: Man City to win

I won’t spend too much time on this one as City are overwhelming favourites and rightly so.  The Premier League champions have four wins in a row since losing their first two games and have won all three of their home games in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and conceding just three in the process.  Saints are unbeaten in their last four outings but are still seeking a first league win of the campaign, and lost the corresponding fixture 5-2 last season.

Fulham vs Reading (English Championship)

Betting Tip: Fulham to win

We opposed Reading last week but they proved us wrong with a 3-3 draw against QPR.  That success came at home, but they face a big ask to avoid defeat at a Fulham side who have six wins in their last seven games and are unbeaten at home with seven points from a possible nine.

Bolton Wanderers vs Rotherham United (English League One)

Betting Tip: Both teams to score

Bolton have the second best attack in League One with 14 goals in seven games so far but Wanderers also have one of the most porous defences with 10 goals conceded, only Ipswich, Cheltenham and Wimbledon have conceded more.  Rotherham aren’t necessarily prolific scorers but they have scored in each of their last four games and both teams have scored in their last two, while there have been goals at both ends in two of Bolton’s three League One home games.

Carlisle United v Scunthorpe United (English League Two)

Betting Tip: Carlisle to win

Carlisle slipped to a loss at Crawley last weekend but their home form has been strong and they remain unbeaten after four games across all competitions at Brunton Park, winning their last two.  Scunthorpe have just six points from seven games so far and remain without a win on their travels and the Iron have managed just one goal in three away games in League Two so far.

Hibernian vs St Mirren (Scottish Premiership)

Betting Tip: Hibs FC to win

Hibs are unbeaten in their last four games and Easter Road has been a fortress in these early stages of the season as they have four wins and a draw from five games across all competitions at their Edinburgh base, scoring 11 goals and conceding just one.  St Mirren are winless in six across all competitions and the Buddies are yet to win in the Premiership, so a home win looks the most likely outcome here.

Vicenza vs Pisa (Italian Serie B)

Betting Tip: Pisa to win

This is one of this week’s bigger price selections, but Pisa may well be able to claim all three points at Vicenza on Saturday afternoon.  Vicenza have lost all three of their Serie B games so far and also lost in the Coppa Italia to Empoli, while Pisa have won all of their league games and sit second in the standings behind Brescia on goal difference.

Lens vs Lille (French Ligue 1)

Betting Tip: Both teams to score

Lens entertain champions Lille in France’s Ligue 1 on Saturday afternoon and we could see goals at both ends at the Bollaert-Delelis.  Lens have scored in all five of their games this season and both teams have scored in four of those fixtures, while both teams have scored in four of Lille’s last five domestic fixtures.

Inter Milan vs Bologna (Italian Serie A)

Betting Tip: Inter Milan to win

Inter Milan lost at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek but should be able to get back to winning ways when Bologna visit.  The Nerazzurri thrashed Genoa 4-0 in Milan in their season opener and have won their last 10 home fixtures in Serie A in a run stretching back to February.   Bologna are winless in their last five competitive away games and lost both league meetings with Inter last season.

Dijon vs Dunkerque (French Ligue 2)

Betting Tip: Dijon

Relegated Dijon made a woeful start to the season but picked up a first win by beating Bastia at home last time out and can back that up by seeing off fellow strugglers Dunkerque.  The visitors remain without a win after seven Ligue 2 games, and have failed to score in three of their last four games.

Alaves vs Osasuna (Spanish La Liga)

Betting Tip: Osasuna to win

This is another big price selection but Osasuna are still the favourites to win this meeting in Spain’s top tier.  Alaves have no points to show from three games so far and have been conceding at an alarming rate, having shipped in eight goals so far.  The hosts have managed just one goal themselves and Osasuna will be looking to record back-to-back away victories after a 3-2 win at Cadiz in their last road game.
