World Cup Mega Acca: 166/1 tip for first group stage games

Sports Journalist at FST, Gareth qualified as a journalist after graduating from university and spent over a decade as a freelance broadcast journalist, commentator and tipster before joining FST. Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.

World Cup 2026 kicks off on Thursday as co-hosts Mexico take on South Africa in the tournament opener.

We’ve got all the first round of group fixtures covered and will have tips for every game in our dedicated Match Predictions section.

I’ve used those predictions to put together this huge 166/1 sevenfold accumulator tip ahead of the action, starting with Mexico’s game on Thursday and running until Sweden face Tunisia in the early hours of Monday morning.

I’ve also put together a huge World Cup goalscorer accumulator, which can be backed by heading to our Football Tips page.

Mexico to win to nil vs South Africa

Mexico raise the curtain on the 2026 World Cup unbeaten in eight games. They have conceded just twice in this run, with five of their six wins during this period being accompanied by a clean sheet. South Africa have only won one of their last five games and scored just four goals in the process, with the majority of their opponents being significantly weaker than El Tri.

Canada to win to nil vs Bosnia

Canada look a stronger team than Bosnia and they have the added benefit of home advantage. The Canucks are on an eight-game unbeaten run and are facing a Bosnia side who have drawn their last five games. Canada can win without conceding as they have become clean sheet specialists in the build-up to the tournament with six shut-outs in their last eight games.

USA to win vs Paraguay

Like Canada and Mexico, the USA may benefit from home advantage when they take on Paraguay. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have four wins in their last seven games and that includes a 2-1 friendly success over their South American opponents. The Stars and Stripes put in a strong display in defeat to Germany in their final warm-up game and a similar level of performance should be enough to down Paraguay.

Both Teams To Score – Brazil vs Morocco

Brazil endured a rough World Cup qualifying campaign and head into this tournament having seen both teams score in their last five matches. Morocco are in form and have scored 11 goals in their last three games, so they can find the net against the Selecao.

Scotland -1 handicap vs Haiti

Scotland come flying into the tournament after a 4-1 win over Curacao and a 4-0 success over Bolivia. The Tartan Army should have far too much for Haiti and they can kick off their World Cup 2026 bid by winning with room to spare against one of the lowest ranked teams in the competition.

Turkiye to win vs Australia

Turkiye have won 11 of their last 14 matches since the start of 2025, and they can beat an Australia side that is outmatched in terms of talent. The Socceroos lost three of their four visits to North America last autumn, and Turkiye are aiming to build on their Euro 2024 showing.

Both Teams To Score – Sweden vs Tunisia

Both teams have scored in each of Sweden’s last six games and they have gone 11 without a clean sheet, shipping 23 goals in total during that run. Tunisia have conceded in seven of their last nine games and with both defences looking suspect goals at both ends looks a good starting point in this Group F game.
