Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees Predictions

Luis Severino (4-3, 3.12 ERA) takes the mound again for the New York Yankees and there’s a lot of pressure on the rookie to pitch well in a pivotal game tonight. The match-ups probably haven’t worked out too perfectly for the Yankees in this series, Severino has pitched beautifully for the most part during his rookie campaign, but he has an ERA just below 10 against the Blue Jays.

He is opposed by Marco Estrada on the mound for Toronto. Estrada has kept opponent batters pretty quiet for the most part, hitters are averaging just .206 against him on the season. Considering he plays for the Blue Jays, Estrada who hasn’t had a lot of run support.

In four starts against New York this season, he is 1-2 with a 4.09 ERA and he will have some concerns about the way which Carlos Beltran, Brian McCann and Jacoby Ellsbury have hit him in the past. Beltran in partucular has taken Estrada deep in the past homering three times in 22 at-bats.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Too much hitting

The Blue Jays have just too much hitting power and Severino has struggled in this match-up in the past. The pressure is ramped up another decimal here and we’re not convinced that he’ll be able to withstand that intensity here.

      2. Estrada won’t escape unscathed

We don’t think that this’ll be a pitching duel, instead, we’re expecting a game where there’s plenty of hard hitting and the runs end up racking up.

      3. Nine Runs is fine

In one-sided games, we don’t like the nine-run Game Total too much, but we think this will be tough and competitive, which should see the score rack up a little more.
