Los Angeles FC vs Colorado Rapids Predictions

Changing of the guard

It’s a fresh start for Los Angeles when they kick off the new season against Colorado Rapids on Saturday. The hosts missed out on the playoffs for the first time in the Franchise’s history in 2021 which led to the departure of manager Bob Bradley. Despite the change in manager, the LAFC philosophy is expected to remain the same, fast, aggressive and direct. The ‘The Black-and-Gold’ were without key player Carlos Vela for the majority of the previous campaign, but they’ve added a number of key attacking options.

The Rapids were one of the better sides last season and finished the season off well, beating Western Conference powerhouses Sporting Kansas City and Seattle Sounders on the final matchday before the playoffs. They’ll be keen to get off to a flying start here and put down a marker by claiming three points.

This is a fascinating clash. The hosts have a number of exciting attacking players but have been caught out defensively with regularity season after season.
