Aberdeen vs Hamilton Betting Tips

Aberdeen’s 2-1 win over Celtic at the weekend saw them leapfrog the Scottish Premiership champions at the top of the table, and Aberdeen still have a game in hand over them.

They sit two points ahead of Celtic in the league after continuing their perfect start to the domestic season, and should they beat Hamilton in their game in hand they will move five points clear at the top.

This is reminiscent of last season, where they gave Celtic a run for their money in the first half of the season as the Glaswegian giants adapted to new manager Ronny Deila’s playing style. Eventually, the favourites for the title ran away with the league in the second half of the season.

But Aberdeen have started even better this season, with six wins out of six including a victory over Celtic.

Hamilton haven’t started quite as brightly, and have picked up ten points from their opening six games to leave them in 6^th position in the Scottish Premiership.

They have lost three times in their seven competitive games this season, including an early exit from the Scottish League Cup. All of these losses have come away from home, which makes it three losses in four away days for Hamilton.

They have conceded eight goals in these three losses, and they will be lucky if they can prevent that number from increasing on Tuesday.

Aberdeen have won all of the last three meetings between the sides, with the last two games ending 3-0 to Aberdeen.

I’m expecting Aberdeen to get the win on Tuesday, and the bookies are obviously expecting that too. Odds of 2/5 for an Aberdeen win don’t look like fantastic value, but considering they have won three out of their last five matches by more than a goal I think that odds of 21/20 for an Aberdeen -1 Handicap Win are good value.
