AFC Bournemouth vs Crawley Town Predictions

  • 54 places separate Bournemouth (6th Championship) and Crawley Two (12th League Two) in the football league pyramid.
  • Bournemouth have won nine of their 14 home matches across all competitions this term (D3, L2).
  • However, the Cherries have conceded in their last four matches, while Crawley have managed to score in their last nine games in all competitions.

Another Shock Not on the Cards For Crawley

Crawley pulled off a memorable victory over Leeds United at Broadfield Stadium in the third round, but the Reds will be hard pressed to cause another upset when they travel to face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this week.

Crawley certainly shouldn’t be underestimated by the Cherries here, as they come into this tie unbeaten in ten games across all competitions, winning six.

But while they deserve great credit for their 3-0 success over the Whites a fortnight ago, it looked to all intents and purposes as if Leeds had other commitments at the forefront of their minds.

The result was more a case of Leeds being woeful as opposed to Crawley being excellent and even a repeat showing from John Yems’ side this Tuesday is unlikely to be good enough – assuming Bournemouth are fully wound up and motivated to progress in the competition.

The Cherries certainly looked like they were in the last round as they hammered Oldham 4-1 here and with nine wins from 14 across all competitions at the Vitality this season (D3, L2), we’re backing the hosts to confirm the 54 position gap between the teams in the football league pyramid.

Crawley have netted in each of their last nine starts though, so Bournemouth’s price is well worth enhancing by throwing both teams to score into the mix. We ultimately fancy Jason Tindall’s side to triumph fairly comfortably though despite a couple of poor recent league results and 3-1 is our correct score prediction.
