Al-Ittihad can make most of home advantage

Al-Ittihad sit in second spot in the Saudi Pro League, just one point behind leaders Al-Hilal, ahead of the visit of Al-Ahli on Friday.

The home side have six points from a possible nine at home, with their only defeat coming at the hands of the pacesetters, and Al-Ahli have struggled on their travels.

As such, a win for the hosts looks the best option here and a victory would see them move to the top of the standings, temporarily at least, as Al-Hilal don’t play until Saturday.

A 3-1 win for the home side appeals as a correct score bet as Al-Ahli have shipped 10 goals across their three away fixtures. Al-Ittihad should also be boosted by the return of Karim Benzema after a three-game absence, further boosting their chances of winning with room to spare.

The visitors have only failed to score in one of their nine games across all competitions so far, however, so should at least be able to strike in defeat.

Roberto Firmino hit a hat-trick in his Al-Ahli debut but hasn’t added to his tally in seven games since that treble. The Brazilian did see a goal chalked off for offside against Al-Ettifaq last time out though, and looks the most likely candidate to grab the expected consolation strike for the away team.
