      Arsenal vs Everton Predictions

A 2-0 loss at home to West Ham started Arsenal’s season off terribly, and their poor start to the Champions League group stages had the Arsenal fans’ hackles up once again.

But once again Arsenal have shown that they don’t stay in poor form for very long. They have won six of their nine Premier League games so far, although it wasn’t until the past few weeks that they have shown what they’re really capable of.

Alexis Sanchez shook off the cobwebs with a hat trick in their 5-2 win over the in form Leicester at the end of September, although a loss against Olympiakos soon brought them back down to earth.

But they bounced back again as they produced nothing short of a master class against a baffled Manchester United side, beating them 3-0. The scoreline didn’t do the home side justice, they could have won by any margin.

Arsenal followed this up with another 3-0 win over Watford before doing the unthinkable and ending Bayern Munich’s 100% start to the season on Tuesday with a 2-0 victory over them.

Everton saw a 3-0 scoreline of their own last weekend. Unfortunately for them they were on the wrong end of it as Manchester United outclassed them to cruise to victory.

This was Everton’s first defeat since their loss against Manchester City towards the end of August.

They are looking in pretty good shape overall though, with their 13 points leaving them in 9th position in the Premier League.

Both teams have a fairly extensive injury list to contend with. Arsenal central midfield trio Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, and Tomas Rosicky all join Danny Welbeck and David Ospina on the sidelines. Everton will be without Tom Cleverley, Leighton Baines, Muhamed Besic, Tony Hibbert, and Steven Pienaar.

Despite Everton’s promising start to the season, there are definite questions about their ability to deal with top quality opposition, and Arsenal are definitely top quality opposition at the moment. The home side have won their last two matches against Everton by two goals, and with comprehensive recent victories under their belts I think an Arsenal -1.5 Asian Handicap Win at 2.050 look excellent value.
