Atletico Madrid vs Celta Vigo Betting Tips

The 1st leg last week in Galicia finished goalless so it is still all to play for here and Celta Vigo will feel they have every chance especially given Atletico Madrid are sure to have one eye on their trip to Barcelona in La Liga this weekend.

Atletico also had a frustrating weekend as they could only manage a 0-0 draw at home to 10 man Sevilla in the league to lose top spot to Barcelona ahead of their crunch meeting at the Camp Nou. Diego Simeone will no doubt rest a few players here but will still want to progress.

11 of Atletico’s last 18 matches have resulted in wins to nil and they’ve only conceded 5 goals in that period so odds of 6/5 for a home win to nil here is surely worth a punt given Celta Vigo will be without some of their most potent attacking players.

Diego Simeone’s men rarely win big though and if they go ahead in games they can generally rely on their defence to see it out. That could be the case again and a gritty 1-0 win to see them through to next week’s Semi Finals can be backed at 9/2.
