Augsburg Backed to Edge Tight Clash with Hamburg

Augsburg are out of form coming into this game, but there might be a bit of value in a home win when they host Hamburg at the WWK Arena on Saturday.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season, with Augsburg 15th in the table having won twice and Hamburg two places above them in 13th with two wins as well. The hosts have suffered seven defeats from their ten games, while the visitors have lost five.

Augsburg threw away a late lead to lose 3-2 to Stuttgart in their last Bundesliga game. The result was no surprise, with Stuttgart priced at 8/15 to win the game.

The visitors have disappointed up front this season. Hamburg have been struggling to find the net away from home in the Bundesliga, scoring just two goals in five games – an average of 0.40 goals a game on the road.

A narrow 1-0 victory for Augsburg looks the most likely outcome in the correct-score market. At least one team was kept scoreless in five of the last six Bundesliga meetings between these two sides, with Augsburg winning the last encounter 1-0.
