Barnet vs Plymouth Argyle Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

We think league leaders Plymouth Argyle should have enough in the tank to come away with all three points when they travel to Barnet on Monday. Given that Barnet already hold a victory over the visitors this season and are in pretty decent form, we have decided to apply an air of caution for our tip, so we are backing Argyle to win either half. When the sides met back in November, Plymouth were clear at the top of the table but were looking to bounce back from only their third defeat of the season. That defeat to Barnet was the second of three in a row and allowed the chasing pack to overturn the points difference to knock Argyle off top spot.

The position at the top of the league has since changed hands a few times since then, but following Plymouth’s 2-0 victory over Crawley on New Years Eve, they have finished 2016 at the top of the pile. Argyle have enjoyed some fairly dominant stats in the process, but the one that catches our eye for the purposes of our tip is that they have only conceded in both halves in 10% of their away games this season.

That stat bares extra significance when compared to the fact that Barnet have conceded in both halves in 45% of their home games this season. We also have to consider that Argyle have the second strongest away record in League Two so they should be more than confident of taking the points.
