Tip Reasoning

  • Both teams have scored in all five of Leyton Orient’s away league games this season
  • There have been 15 goals scored across Barrow’s five home fixtures this term, with both teams netting in four of those outings
  • Leyton Orient have won only one of their five away league matches, with three of those affairs ending in score draws

Expect a Cumbrian cracker

Both Barrow and Leyton Orient find themselves in the League Two playoff positions at the ten-game mark, and two in-form teams should serve up plenty of entertainment.

Barrow, who sit seventh and one point behind fourth-placed Orient, have suffered only one defeat in six while the Londoners had been unbeaten in five matches prior to last weekend’s 3-2 defeat at Port Vale.

Orient conceded two injury-time goals in last weekend’s loss against Vale, in a game that highlighted their attack prowess but hinted improvement can be made defensively.

Only league leaders Forest Green have netted more than Orient’s total of 18 goals and in target man Harry Smith, who has scored six times in nine games, they have a potent weapon.

The problem is, however, Orient have looked stronger in familiar surroundings and the trip to Cumbria is a demanding one.

Kenny Jackett’s side have won only one of their five away trips and that came at an underwhelming Bristol Rovers outfit that are languishing as low as 20th.

Both teams scored in all five of those road outings and the sequence may continue at Barrow, who have netted in each of their last seven league matches.

There have also been 15 goals scored across Barrow’s five home fixtures this season, with both teams netting in four of those affairs.

With goals expected for both teams, we are predicting an enterprising 2-2 draw. Orient have shared the spoils in three of their five away matches, which includes a four-goal thriller at Newport.
