Bayer can brush aside Koln

Bayer Leverkusen may have lost their last two Bundesliga games but they are fancied to get back on track as they host Koln on Saturday.

The home side bounced back well to draw 2-2 with Newcastle in the Champions League on Tuesday and they were a touch unfortunate that the Magpies were not reduced to ten men in the first half.

The demands of their European exploits has weakened their domestic efforts but they remain firmly in the top four race and are only six points behind second-placed RB Leipzig.

They face a Koln side who have struggled to kick on after winning their first two games of the season. Since then the visitors have just two wins from their last 11 league matches and have only kept two clean sheets all season.

The Billy Goats have managed to sneak into the top half of a very congested Bundesliga table but it’s hard to see them getting a result from this game.

Both teams have scored in Koln’s last six matches and a repeat of that is fancied in a win for Bayer Leverkusen.
