Belenenses vs Fiorentina Betting Tips

      Tip Reasoning

Belenenses have endured a somewhat up and down start to the 2015-16 season. They picked up their first win of the Primeira Liga season a little over one week ago, and they began the Europa League group stage campaign with a 0-0 draw with Lech Poznan.

They want to control the football and they want to keep games low scoring. They’ve not managed to put together that performance on a consistent basis though. They looked toothless against Poznan, while in other games this season they’ve shown an ability to play in high-scoring contests drawing games 3-3 and 2-2.

The side with the star names in this match-up is Fiorentina. They took the Italian headlines this weekend with a huge 4-1 away win over Inter Milan. They are now atop of the division, but there’s a danger of a slight drop off in intensity. They lost their opening group game, at home, 2-1 to FC Basel.

They’ll face another difficult to break down opponent in Portugal on Thursday night. They’ll be cramped for room through the midfield and Paulo Sousa may consider/be forced to rest some players.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Style of game

There’s just something about Belenenses, we think their style of slow down, possession football will disrupt Fiorentina here. Maybe it won’t be enough to win the game, but we like Asian Handicap line, which gives Belenenses one goal.

      2. Both teams need something

While neither side will come into the game “aiming” for a draw, we can’t help but feel that they’d probably settle for it, if it was offered for them. An away point wouldn’t be a bad thing for Fiorentina at this point, while Belenenses might fancy picking up wins in other home contests.

      3. Fiorentina deflation

We think Fiorentina felt a little snubbed by the lack of preseason Serie A chatter about them and they’ve been on a mission in that competition. They’ve got their attention after breaking open Mancini’s Inter, but following up those emotional performances can be challenging.
