Atlanta United can be backed to win at home to Chicago Fire, having enjoyed two straight MLS successes at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Chicago Fire have nine points more than Atlanta, with eight wins, four draws and nine losses, compared to the hosts’ four wins, seven draws and ten defeats.

However, Chicago Fire could not break their losing habit last time, going down 2-1 to San Diego on Sunday in their last MLS outing. They have now lost four of their last five MLS matches.

The visitors have struggled defensively of late, conceding in ten straight MLS games and on all 11 of their away days this season. Chicago Fire have failed to keep a clean sheet in 18 of their last 20 MLS games.

A narrow 1-0 win for Atlanta looks the best correct-score option. Three of their four MLS victories this season have come by one goal, and Chicago Fire have lost their last two games in the league by a single-goal margin.
