Belgium to Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Belgium have scored 21 goals across their last five meetings with Estonia, who warmed up for the trip to Brussels with a 5-0 home defeat to Sweden and look overmatched given the Red Devils’ firepower.

Belgium 4-0

Reason for tip

Belgium have scored at least three goals in 12 of their last 16 European Championship qualifiers and have two 4-0 wins on their record from their last nine Euro qualifying wins. Estonia have scored just twice in this campaign and shouldn’t pose a huge threat.

Leandro Trossard To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Leandro Trossard was unfortunate not to score in Saturday’s win over Azerbaijan, hitting the post with one of his three efforts on goal, but the Arsenal man may have better against an Estonia team conceding over 15 shots per game.

Belgium vs Estonia Predictions

  • Ten of Belgium’s last 12 home victories in Euro qualifiers have featured four or more goals
  • Estonia have shipped eight goals across their last two qualifiers
  • Leandro Trossard had three efforts at goal against Azerbaijan

Red Devils on a roll

Belgium can’t afford to slip up at home to Estonia with Austria hot on their heels in Group F and that should serve as enough motivation to brush aside the section strugglers.

The Red Devils weren’t at their best in Saturday’s clash with Azerbaijan in Baku, a fortuitous goal from Yannick Carrasco securing them a 1-0 win and keeping them ahead of Austria on goal difference.

Belgium have now won four of their five games under Dominic Tedesco during a relatively smooth transition from Roberto Martinez and aren’t expected to have many issues maintaining that momentum against Estonia.

Belgium won 3-0 in Tallinn back in June with Romelu Lukaku, the joint top-scorer in Euro 2024 qualifying, scoring twice.

Lukaku is a short price to net once more in the reverse fixture, but there’s better value to be found in supporting Leandro Trossard to get on the scoresheet. The Arsenal man enjoyed the best goalscoring season of his career last term and had three efforts on goal against Azerbaijan, hitting the post.

Estonia unlikely to pose a threat

Estonia head to Belgium having been turned over 5-0 at home by Sweden on Saturday, their fourth defeat in the last five matches.

Their recent record against the Belgians doesn’t inspire much confidence of a turn around in Brussels either, losing the last five meetings and shipping 21 goals in the process.

With Belgium having scored three or more in 12 of their last 16 European Championship qualifiers, backing a big home win against a struggling Estonia side looks the way to go.
