Pavlidis to add to Ajax woes

Ajax and Benfica sit bottom of the pile in the Champions League League Phase, but the Portuguese side could finally get some points on the board against Tuesday’s struggling hosts.

They have only won once in their last nine, and, while Benfica are yet to pick up a point in this competition, As Aguias have at least been performing on a domestic level.

Their Taca de Portugal win on Friday made it four wins from their last seven, and they should be able to take advantage of Ajax’s low morale on Tuesday.

Benfica have only scored twice in this competition, though, so a tight 1-0 win against a side that have failed to score in three of their four games appeals.

Vangelis Pavlidis could be the one to make the difference, too. He scored in the cup on Friday and now has six goals in his last six appearances for the club.
