      Southampton Draw No Bet

      Reason for tip

Southampton are a big price to win the game because of some recent road struggles, but they won back-to-back away games in November. They could sneak a win against a Blues side that has failed to win their last two at St Andrew’s with the visitors best backed in the Draw no Bet market.

      Southampton 2-1

      Reason for tip

Saints have scored multiple goals in three of their last five away league games and can bag a brace in Birmingham. Back a 2-1 away win because the Blyes have not scored more than once in either of their last two home games.

      Adam Armstrong To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Adam Armstrong has scored seven goals in his last nine Championship appearances and 11 in 11 against Birmingham, including a brace in a 3-1 win at St Mary’s earlier this month.

Saints can respond to Oxford setback

Southampton will look to bounce back from their Boxing Day defeat at Oxford when they travel to St. Andrew’s to face an inconsistent Birmingham side on Monday.

Tonda Eckert admitted his side got what they deserved at Kassam Stadium after failing to take chances and leaving the back door open against the battling U’s. Overall, Saints are still on an upward trajectory under the coach, who has them playing an effective possession-heavy style home or away.

Birmingham will provide a stern test for them given their solid home form, which has seen them go undefeated in front of their home fans for six games, but there have been signs that another loss could be just around the corner.

Armstrong set to flex his muscles

The Blues failed to convert opportunities to beat Derby on Boxing Day and were pegged back in their previous home game by Charlton. They will now come up against a potent Southampton side led by the division’s top scorer Adam Armstrong.

The Geordie goal-grabber is a proven marksman at this level and was denied a 12th strike of the campaign by a brilliant close-range save on Saturday. Armstrong also possesses a superb record against Birmingham, with 11 goals in as many previous matches against the second-city club.

Back the visitors to nick this in the Draw no Bet market at attractive odds with a 2-1 victory the most likely outcome in their favour given Saints’ penchant for scoring multiple goals on the road.
