Bodo Glimt vs Odd Predictions

Bodo Glimt and Odd are both chasing the Eliteserien title this season and each have two games in hand over the league leaders, Molde. Odd sit two points above the hosts and both teams have a goal difference of +9 heading into Sunday’s game, and with each side picking up plenty of wins in the Eliteserien of late we’re expecting a great game of football.

Bodo Glimt were involved in a seven-goal thriller away at Viking last weekend, where goals from Bjorkan and Herrem saw the visitors leading 2-1 at the break. Layouni made it 3-1 five minutes into the second half and Zinckernagel added a fourth in the sixty-sixth minute. Viking did manage to pull two goals back in the final twenty minutes but Bodo Glimt held on to secure a 4-3 victory.

Odd controlled the majority of their home game against Haugesund last weekend and a goal from Nordkvelle saw the hosts leading 1-0 at the interval. The visitors equalised early in the second half but Borven soon restored Odd’s lead and teammate Nordkvelle helped himself to a brace to wrap up a 3-1 win for the home side in the seventy-first minute.

The recent head to head record between these two clubs and their form and performances over the last month or so, all point towards both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals on Sunday, with Odd best placed to claim all three points. Both teams scored and over 2.5 goals were produced in five of the last six meetings between these two clubs, Odd have won four of the last six encounters between the pair, and three of their last five meetings have finished 2-1. Five of Bodo Glimt’s last six matches have seen both teams core and over 2.5 goals, while both teams have scored in Odd’s last three matches and over 2.5 goals were produced in three of their last six matches, which is why we are backing a 2-1 victory for Odd this weekend.

Layouni leads the way for Bodo Glimt with six Elitserien goals this season, while Borven top scores for Odd with eight league goals. We’re confident that both teams will score and over 2.5 goals will be produced on Sunday, and have predicted a 2-1 win for Odd. Odd have a good recent record against their hosts and head into the game as the slight form favourites, while Bodo Glimt lost their last home game against one of the top four sides, Brann, 2-1.
