Bolton vs Swindon Predictions
Bolton continued their run of form in front of a home crowd when securing a replay against Premier League Crystal Palace in the FA Cup last weekend. The Trotters are now unbeaten in their last 11 matches at home, winning ten of those. Against a Swindon side who’ve struggled on the road, it would be no surprise whatsoever if the hosts carried on in much the same way.
At odds of 7/5, the bet to go for here is ‘Bolton to Win & Over 2.5 Goals’. Scoring goals hasn’t been a problem for Bolton on home soil this season and, against a team who’ve conceded plenty on the road, another high-scoring victory could be on the cards.
Four of the last five Bolton home victories have come with at least three goals going in. On top of this, the same can be said for three of Swindon’s last five on the road, all of which were matches where the visiting team ended up on the losing side.
Confidence isn’t likely to be too high for Swindon right now, they’re without a win in seven matches. As for the hosts, well, they should certainly be feeling good ahead of this fixture. The Trotters appear to be getting stronger and stronger on their own patch and will surely fancy their chances of securing another impressive victory.
At the prices, backing the hosts to come out on top in a match that sees at least three goals go in is the best option. Having showcased their dominance against teams who struggle on the road on previous occasions this season (4-0 and 3-1 wins against Gillingham and Port Vale spring to mind), Parkinson’s men should be capable of seeing off this Swindon outfit in style.
