Lille to edge a win

Hosts Bordeaux have failed to win against the defending champions since March 2015 and have won just once in their last six games – they’ve also won just 29% of their home games since the start of last season. They are however coming off the back of a morale-boosting 10-0 cup win during the week and that will alleviate some of the pressure on boss Vladimir Petković, who has led Bordeaux to their worst 18-game start to a Ligue 1 season since 1959/60.

Lille are unbeaten in their last 10 games and are the better side here. However, the Champions currently occupy a spot in the bottom half of the table and it’s a disappointing defense of their title. The last 10 league meetings between these two sides have averaged 2.1 goals per game and we’re expecting this to be a tight one.
