Borussia Monchengladbach vs Borussia Dortmund Betting Tips

Borussia Monchengladbach ended the first half of the season on a high. They managed to beat Darmstadt 3-2 in the Bundesliga in the last game of 2015, ending their three match losing streak in the process.

They have played a number of friendlies during the winter break, with a win, a draw, and a loss making up their results. It is quite rightly all about maintaining match fitness, but a 5-2 thrashing by Bochum won’t be sitting well with the players as they move back to the competitive arena.

Monchengladbach started the season in tragically bad form, but once they finally found their feet they impressed with their performances and results. This has seen them rise from the doldrums up into 4^th position in the Bundesliga, and a win on Saturday could take them level on points with 3^rd placed Hertha Berlin.

Borussia Dortmund ended their 2015 campaign with a defeat to Cologne, but overall the Bundesliga title challengers are in good form.

They have won four of their last six competitive matches and managed to comfortably win all three of their friendly matches over the winter break.

Borussia Dortmund’s scintillating attacking displays have provided us with some of the best footballing entertainment so far this season, and their friendly victories suggested that they haven’t lost their touch. If they can perform to their best on Saturday I don’t see many ways of stopping them.

Monchengladbach’s 5-2 defeat to Bochum highlights some glaring defensive vulnerabilities, not something you want when coming up against an attacking trio that have scored 32 league goals between them already.

This makes Borussia Dortmund big favourites in my book, and odds of 7/10 for an away win looks good value to me. I’m going for a 3-1 correct score prediction at 11/1.
