Bournemouth vs Leicester Predictions
It was a weekend of incredible Premier League action, so much so that Bournemouth’s 3-2 defeat at Burnley was one of the less dramatic of the fixtures on offer. They went two goals behind early on, and despite scoring a goal late in the first half Burnley grabbed another and weren’t pegged back again until it was too late.
This defeat made it four losses from their last six games, with the other two being victories against Stoke, and most dramatically Liverpool. This, along with their decent form earlier in the season, puts them in a respectable 11th position in the Premier League.
Bournemouth’s matches recently have been anything but boring. There have been a huge 16 goals in their last three outings, with them netted seven goals and their opposition bagging nine.
It was Benik Afobe and Charlie Daniels who got Burnley’s goals on Saturday, but Callum Wilson has been the standout player going forward. He has netted five Premier League goals and will be facing a Leicester side who have conceded 18 goals in their seven Premier League away days.
Leicester conceded two more at home on Saturday evening, but the four goals they netted against Manchester City more than made up for it as Jamie Vardy returned to the form which saw him guide Leicester to the title last season. His hat trick in this game makes him Leicester’s top scorer in the Premier League, and with that bit of added confidence he could be a good shout for out anytime goalscorer predictions.
This victory ended a run of five games without a win in the Premier League and saw them bounce back from a 5-0 demolition at Porto in midweek. Hopefully they can get their awful title defence back on track now, but their away form is something to be seriously worried by. They have lost six and drawn one of their Premier League away days this season, so Bournemouth have a lot of reasons to be confident.
There have been at least three goals in all but one of these matches for Leicester, whilst Bournemouth have seen at least three goals in five of their eight home matches in all competitions. Backing Over 2.5 Goals at 4/5 looks a good choice here, and I’m also going for a 2-1 win for Bournemouth at 9/1 for my correct score predictions.
