Bradford City vs Bury Betting Tips

The goalless draw between Bradford City and Bury was a pretty torrid affair. Neither team got a real foothold in the game and there were only three shots on target in the whole match. Bradford City, playing away from home, probably edged the game slightly but really neither deserved to win.

But the hosts did manage to win their follow up game on Saturday at home to Oldham Athletic, although that 1-0 win wasn’t much to write home about either. This made it two wins, two defeats, and one draw in their last five games in all competitions.

This took Bradford City up to 10^th in the League One table, although they do have two games in hand over most of the teams around them.

Bury sit in 15^th position in the same table with four fewer points from one more match than their opponents.

The visitors didn’t manage to get a win at the weekend. They lost 3-2 to Walsall in a very entertaining match. This made it five games without a win for Bury, with four of those ending in defeat for the out of form side.

That weekend defeat was only the second match they have scored in during this period as well, and takes their goals tally to five from their last eight games.

It doesn’t look particularly good for Bury. They were the poorer side in the home match, have lost four of their last five and haven’t won any of their last four matches against Bradford City.

Three of these meetings have ended in defeat for the visitors, and I think this one will as well. Odds of 10/11 for a Bradford City win look really good value too, so I’m backing that. I’m also backing a low scoring 1-0 win for the hosts at 11/2 as well.
