Bradford vs Chesterfield Predictions
Having registered four draws on the bounce, Bradford finally made their pressure pay when they recorded a 2-1 victory away at Northampton on Monday. This match against lowly Chesterfield looks another good opportunity for the Bantams to get another good result.
Although the hosts are definitely fancied to come out on top in this fixture, the bet to go for is ‘Bradford Clean Sheet’ at odds of 11/10. The hosts have looked very strong defensively this season, especially at home.
Having conceded just nine goals on home turf, the hosts have been among the toughest sides to break down. They’re well organised and have specialised in keeping opposition chances down to a minimum at Valley Parade. The host’s six clean sheets on their own patch is also one of the highest totals in the league.
Chesterfield’s form may have taken a slight upturn in recent times, but they remain a side who have both struggled and are not great on the road. Not exactly the ideal situation to be in ahead of a trip to one of the divisions toughest opponents! Playing away from home has definitely been a big problem for the visitors this season. They’ve won just once on their travels, losing ten of their other 11. The 24 goals they’ve conceded doesn’t bode well, but they’ve also offered little at the other end. Having scored ten goals on the road, they’ve failed to score on six occasions.
However you want to look at this match, it’s almost impossible to get away from the fact that Bradford should dominate throughout and it would be a surprise if they didn’t have enough about them to keep the visitors pretty quiet.
