      Brescia vs Udinese Predictions

      • Brescia sacked manager Eugenio Corini for the second time this season this week.
      • Udinese have the third worst away record in Serie A this season.
      • Brescia have the division’s worst home record.
      • Udinese scored in 70% of their last 10 fixtures.

      Corini sacked again by Brescia

It’s been a rollercoaster couple of days at Brescia, where manager Eugenio Corini has been axed by the club for the second time this season.

Corini was sacked in November last year before he was rehired by the club’s befuddled hierarchy a month later, however, the 49-year old has been given his marching orders again after Brescia’s poor start to the new year.

2nd from bottom Brescia’s search for a first win in 2020 continues this week when they host an out of sorts Udinese team at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti on Sunday.

The relegation threatened Lombardy outfit were beaten in four of their last five Serie A fixtures since the turn of the year, and at present, it looks as though they are destined to drop back down a division without much of a fight.

With just one win from 11 attempts on their own patch this term, Brescia currently hold the division’s worst home record, losing eight times in total in front of their own beleaguered supporters since August.

Most teams visiting the Stadio Mario Rigamonti this season arrive as the pre-match favourites, though Udinese’s dreadful away record in 2019/20 suggests that they lack the tools to take advantage of their host’s generosity.

Udinese continue to struggle on the road

Udinese were turned over in eight of the 11 Serie A away assignments they have navigated so far since August, so expecting them to shake off their travel sickness to beat a Brescia side they lost to in September probably isn’t wise.

What we can expect however, is a goal from a Le Zebrette outfit that managed to hit the net in 70% of their last 10 fixtures. Unsurprisingly, clean sheets are very rare occurrences for relegation candidates Brescia, and having conceded in nine of their 11 home matches this season, we’re tipping them to ship again against Udinese on Sunday.

      Goals at both ends?

There promises to be more positive things on offer for Brescia at the other end of the pitch however, and having notched at least once in seven of their last nine Serie A contests, Le Rondinelle can score again when they come up against a Udinese defence that conceded in 90% of their last 10 away games.

With neither defence looking capable of securing a shutout at present, backing both teams to score feels like the smartest avenue of approach for Sunday’s tussle in Brescia.

Sunday’s match-up pits Serie A’s worst performing home team against one of the division’s worst travellers however, and with both clubs lacking the confidence and quality to push on, our correct score prediction tips the sides to draw 1-1.
