      Brighton vs Hull Predictions

Leaders Brighton are 3 points clear of 2nd place Hull coming into this and both managers will be very encouraged by the starts their respective sides have made although will no doubt realise there is a long way to go in the season.

Hull haven’t been running away with games but have managed to score in all 7 of their competitive matches so far this season. Brighton have done likewise so already the bet that stands out here is backing both teams to score again at Evens.

The Tigers are strong at the back on home soil but aren’t great travellers and have conceded in all three matches on the road with a penalty shoot-out win at Accrington in the Capital One their only victory. 9 of their 10 Championship points have come at the KC Stadium where they are very strong but it’d be a huge surprise if they managed to shut out a Brighton side that won 3-2 at previous leaders Ipswich last time out. However Albion have also conceded twice in each of their last two games, so there should be joy for Hull at the other end and certainly this is a big contender for a ‘Both Teams to Score’ bet.

So goals look likely but in terms of a result it is harder to call. A draw wouldn’t be a disaster for either side by any stretch of the imagination. The hosts will remain top with a point ahead of another home game in midweek against bottom club Rotherham, which they’d be confident of picking up a victory in to maintain their unbeaten start. Meanwhile Hull would be content with a draw away to the league leaders at this stage in the season.

That’s not to say either manager will set up with that mindset but as the game wears on, neither is likely to take any major risks in an attempt to grab the win. Hull possess a bit more quality but Brighton are playing confident football and have home advantage.

The hosts are favourites to win but none of their victories so far have been by more than a single goal and Hull have enough experience in their ranks to grind out a point here.
Therefore a draw is a very likely outcome and you can back it to finish 1-1 at 5/1.
