Bristol City vs Hull Betting Tips

Hull have been absolutely flying of late and went into the international break on the back of a comprehensive 3-0 win at home to promotion favourites Middlesbrough. Having only come down from the top flight last term and having kept a large portion of their squad together, the Tigers were certainly well fancied but results like that have really cemented their billing as serious promotion contenders.

That victory was their 6th consecutive win in all competitions and they are unbeaten in 12 since visiting 2nd place Brighton back in early September. The big change has been that they’ve managed to sort out their away form, which was previously letting them down.

Hull have won 4 of their last 5 games on the road and have only conceded once in that time and at 13/10 they look really good value to win at struggling Bristol City.

The Ashton Gate club have only won 2 of their 8 league home games this season, losing 4 times and although those 2 wins have come over the past month, their wins against Nottingham Forest and Wolves came either side of a humiliating 4-1 home defeat to Fulham where they were 4-0 down at the break.

While Hull are a model of consistency, Bristol City are highly unpredictable and given they are averaging less than a point per game so far in the Championship, you can’t really rely on them to pick up results.

Despite a poor overall record, Bristol City have only failed to score once at home this season and could get on the scoresheet here but with Hull’s extra quality they should be able to nick it and are decent value at 17/2 to win 2-1.
