BSC Glasgow vs Hibernian Predictions

  • BSC Glasgow has scored nine times in their three Scottish Cup games, always scoring at least once.
  • The Hibees have conceded an average of a goal per away game and have kept a clean sheet twice in their 15 games on the road.
  • 64% of Hib’s games have seen both teams score.

Hosts venture into new territories

BSC Glasgow will play their first-ever Scottish Cup 5th round game as the club defeated fellow Lowland League side East Kilbride 3-1 in the previous round. That latest win was their 12th win in their last 13 games in all competitions.

Stephen Swift’s side has surprised everyone by making it this far in the tournament, although the numbers speak for themselves, with BSC Glasgow a total of 9 goals in their trio of Scottish Cup games this season, although they have conceded at least once in those fixtures too. The club has also netted an average of 2.78 in the league whilst conceding just 0.73 times.

Hibs getting back to their best

Hibs booked their place for this game last week when they overcame Championship leaders Dundee United in a 4-2 thriller at Easter Road. However, the Hibees have gone on to draw 2-2 with St Mirren and narrowly lose 2-1 to Rangers during the week.

The Edinburgh club has seen a lot of goals this season too, with 64% of their matches seeing over 2.5 goals. Moreover, Jack Ross’ side has netted an average of 1.36, although it goes down to a goal a game on their travels- but they have only failed to score once in their last seven. Hibs also tend to concede in nearly every single game, as they have kept a clean sheet just twice in their 15 away days.

Hibees to cruise through

BSC Glasgow has had an incredible run of games to make it this far, especially as the club was only founded six years ago. On their way, they have beaten Lochee United, East Fife and East Kilbride- neither of which play in any division higher than League One. They are the underdogs and nobody expects them to win, although we do feel that backing both teams to score here is a good shout, as the hosts have netted at least once in their three Scottish Cup games this season as well as the fact that Hibs have conceded in 13 of their last 15 away games.

As for the final score, we’re backing a comfortable 3-1 for Hibs, whose games hardly see under 2.5 goals. The Hibees have scored 1.36 times on the road, but will probably find it easier to do so against a much weaker opponent.
