Burnley vs Reading Predictions
- Burnley have scored more goals than any other team in the Championship this season (30)
- Burnley have scored ten goals in their last four league matches
- Reading have the fourth-worst away record in the Championship this season
Burnley flourishing under Kompany
Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side have enjoyed life back in the Championship and currently find themselves two points clear of 2nd placed QPR. Despite a host of new summer signings, Burnley have lost once all season and are now unbeaten in their last 14 Championship matches. Burnley are the leading scorers in the division having netted 30 times in 17 league matches – The Clarets have scored ten times in their last four outings and could easily brush Reading to one side on Saturday.
Ince’s Royals tend to struggle on the road
Reading, who were one of the pre-season favourites for relegation, have been somewhat a surprise package in the Championship this season and have only recently slipped out of the top-six. The Royals have thrown up a real mixed bag of results under Paul Ince and have only drawn one of their 16 league matches this term.
Reading are the only team in the top ten with a negative goal difference and they will need to improve their away form if they are to sustain a play-off push. Reading have lost five of their seven away league games this season and currently hold the fourth-worst away record in the Championship. Paul Ince’s side have already lost 4-0 away from home twice this season and have their work cut out at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Burnley on the -1 Handicap will be the main selection for Saturday’s game, with a 3-0 home win forming the Correct Score prediction.
