Bury vs Millwall Predictions
Bury’s story this season has been quite remarkable. They were seemingly untouchable for a while – winning six on the spin around September time but since then they’ve been unable to secure three points and are now without a win in 13 matches. Millwall, on the other hand, having struggled around the time that Bury were thriving, seem to have a hit a good patch – losing just twice in their last ten (all-competitions).
From a betting point of view, despite play at home, it is hard to fancy the hosts – they are out of sorts and have several injury concerns. With this in mind, the bet to go for here is ‘Millwall to Score Over 1.5 Goals’.
The visitors have been in good scoring form of late, while Bury, try as they might, just cannot stop conceding right now. The hosts have let in a total of 12 goals in their last five home matches, conceding two or more on each occasion. On top of this, they’ve kept just one clean sheet all season.
Millwall, in their last five on the road, have notched a total of nine goals, scoring two or more on three occasions. The only time that they’ve failed to score two or more in recent away trips was against Bolton, and considering how good they’ve been at the back, the visitors can be excused here. Breaking through the Bury back-line should prove a much easier task.
The fact that Millwall have a number of attacking players who’ve been among the goals – Lee Gregory, Steve Morison and Aiden O’Brien have 19 goals between them this season – also bodes well for the visitors ahead of this one.
